Ships The Annie owners club

I got my first (and only) Anaconda nearly finished. I spent 4/5 if my Cr on it, including outfitting. Until I make more Cr it is a 400T cargo ship. It still needs a name.

The Anaconda could use another 200 metres<3

Hi Commanders,

I have my so-looong-expected Conda for 10 days now. she's great, but I'm partially desapointed right now, comparing with my Python. She was great on the last trade-CG (best 10%), but back to my HQ, I feel like I can take LESS trade missions due to the large pad issue than with the Python, while I have a bigger cargo...
Is this because I may be too focused on high payback transport mission, and I should go for trade loops instead ? Should I change the cargo for a fighter bay and get out the guns ? She's not A-rated, and i'm looking for a quiet gameplay at the moment, so trade is nice for it.

Thank you for your advices Commanders o7 !

Try passenger missions as long as you avoid the criminal mastermind ones they pay well and have some great material rewards as well, the Condas range and capacity means you can stack a fair number as well.

The big payout (3 mil+) cargo missions don't come along that often and even a trade configured Python would struggle with more than one whereas a Conda could easily handle two.

Just bought my Conda and A rated it last night finally. Can't wait to take it out and see what she can do. Named her Bebop, but unfortunately I didn't have time to take her out and fly. Can't wait to get some great screenshots

Just bought one of these things a few days ago. It's surprisingly agile for a ship of its size. Took a couple of days, but I got weapons on her and pretty much A rated her although the power plant is a 7A instead of an 8A, but I don't need all the power of an 8A. She's going to make me a lots of money. I named her Bountiful because that's what she is. Doesn't hold as much as a cutter, but she is a shielded combat freighter. Some pirate is going to have a very bad day when a 4A beam and 2 3A pulse lasers start gnawing at his shield. And then there's the 1 large, 2 medium and 2 small multi cannons to snack on hull. Yes. A very bad day indeed. Muwhahaha :D

Annie took me some time to get used to, but I now love it. I come from Diamondback Explorer, so I had to get used to handling and until recently Annie was just another ship in my inventory, mainly for haulage and passengers. Recently I engineered her and outfitted to my taste and completed test voyage of around 12k LY. Love her versality, space to fit everything I may need (and any stranded pilot might need), generous cargo and jump range on par with my Diamondback (which is cramped, but i love her nonetheless).

Cheers!

Now that my first conda is fully converted to XploreConda role, I'm seriously considering buying a 2nd conda for combat. This is the only one of the big 3 ships i would consider owning 2 of at this point.

I own 3 x Conda's, 1 x Corvette and 2 Cutters plus lots of the smaller ships, I find the ships in game like Pokemon "Gota collect'em all!"

Have just bought my 4th Conda's today (just prior to server maintenance) as I wanted a permanent Miner (outfitting once servers back), which I was always changing one of my Conda's around. Love this ship for it's versatility :)

The newest in my Fleet, My permanent miner.

Conda is the best ship in this game:p

Glad you qualified that with the Emoticon. It's a good ship, even great in some areas, but no ship is the best. They all have their strong and weak points and they all have their uses. And that's what I love about this game. Ships are vehicles. You wouldn't use a Lamborghini as a commercial taxi, you wouldn't use a Peterbilt in a drag race and you wouldn't use a Ford Focus as a rich man's status symbol. Each has their uses and each are good vehicles; for what they are designed for.

I just saw this thread and realised I'd forgotten to join the club.
I had been resisting buying a 'Conda ever since I tried one out in Beta: Too sluggish, can't see out the front, and also too expensive.
Until recently.
Now I have two. :D
One for passenger missions, and one for DW2.
(The first one paid for the second one. And my new T10. And my new Beluga. And my new Corvette.[hehe])

You can see out the front. You just can't see what's below the front depending on the distance to the object. But you don't really need to. That's what the scanner is for. And landing, that's what the landing helper is for.

I consider the Anaconda to be the ultimate armed freighter; depending on the skills of the operator, of course. Not the best freighter, but the best armed freighter.

may as well join, seeing as I have had the Conda a long time now and have taken it everywhere. It's the 3rd large ship i acquired after the type 7 and beluga (used to grind my Conda then promptly sold). I have taken the Conda everywhere, it's been my primary ship for a long time now. Only recently overtaken by the Vette (relatively speaking, i have had the Vette a while now) and only because I'm solely combat focused now. anyways here is a pic:

That's Sag A*

I have 2 Conda's, 2 Corvettes, 2 Cutters and a Battle Cow (Type 10)... and at least 1 of pretty much everything else. My Conda's, while not my main, are my go to for anything that requires any kind of range.

Hey all, I've just come back after a long break (since Horizons came out!).

Anyway I'm back and rejuvenated and having fun again - I've been out for so long that I am completely out of the loop in terms of all these new engineered options. I have decided to use my Conda as my multirole ship simply to make engineer resource gathering easier.

Ive done my FSD range to level 5, also did my Thursters to level 3 (need to unlock lv 5 engineer) and now just doing my Distributor engineering.

But while the FSD range was an easy choice I am now faced with a heap of choices of effects and choices on the other parts?

My current loadout is

https://coriolis.io/outfit/anaconda...eloBhBmcQUwIYHMA28QgIwV0A=&bn=The Big Fraggle

Can anyone give me advice as to what is the better type of effect on the Power Disty? Also as currently I have the Plasma Cannons for Huge and L, but seeing as I'm visiting the Dweller I am unsure as to which weapons to go for, and certainly which type of effect to put on those weapons.

I currently do mostly PvE seeing as I am doing all the engineer upgrades but I always play Open and ultimately will end up doing PP and Community goals so PvP will happen..

Any suggestions or current best practice for these loadouts? So much more choice and so much more importance on getting it right due to the amount of resources to actually upgrade these components with engineers. I figured FSD, Power Disty would be pretty good to get to grade 5 first followed by Thrusters and Shields.

Thanks in advance - must say as someone that has essentially not played for 2 years the game seems to have improved on most counts and I'm really enjoying it again. I just left as the Corvette/Clipper came out so haven't even considered the Corvette in my multi role ship but I honestly prefer the jump range so thought I'd work on the Annie. End of the day I can always transfer most the modules over anyway.
