The best way to report someone who is occupying a landing pad and keeps doing it?

Warning word was a matter of speech, I have said I had missions with bonus timer and asked if it was going to take long since landings there take approx few minutes, no one occupies that long most of the time

Edit: I also know to go solo but I like the games multiplayer stuff, feels more immersion and I like the interactions but of course not ones like this. Also that person could get off from pad after questing and hang in close to station in no fire zone and go afk
This is your problem. Your terminology and style of writing comes across as aggressive, self centred and rude.

You wanted immersion. You got it. In the real world the are people who get in your way. In general they are not doing it on purpose, they are either inexperienced or don't realise what they are doing. They need to be educated and the best way is to do that calmly and politely, not shouted at or 'warned'. Re-read your comments, but imagine that it was someone talking to you. How would you react? I doubt it would have been a simple and polite "O7".

FDev, if you are reading, and I would not be surprised if you were, its quite a popcorn fest, then may I suggest that we need a mechanism to prevent stressing out players like this. Perhaps a verbal reminder followed by an auto parking of said vehicle on the pad into a sin bin hanger, opening up the pad for other players. To be honest I thought there was a rather aggressive reaction from stations to blocking pads, or perhaps that is just blocking pads without landing properly.

While you wait for that to be implemented (don't hold your breath), simply switch to solo, cash in your mission and then switch back to open. It's not rocket science.

Nah, i'm against any forms of coercion regarding pad blocking or carrier blocking in-system spots or ... you get the idea...
These are mechanisms that can be used in a more or less creative ways to disrupt the operations of your potential competitors/enemies
Op couldn't do his missions, but in a different scenario they could be prevented to repair their ship and so on.

Players have options to navigate these scenarios, they just have to use them instead of expecting someone else to act for them

Also that person could get off from pad after questing and hang in close to station in no fire zone and go afk
Try that yourself.
  1. the ship will consume fuel while in flight. Depending on the ship, this might or might not be a problem.
  2. the ship will be vulnerable while in flight. Staying within the no-fire zone won't help, since
    1. the no-fire zone applies to the shooter, not the ship being shot at. Most long range modded weapons can safely sit outside the no-fire zone and snipe at ships inside the no-fire zone without any consequences from the station's guns
    2. any PvP player worth their salt will have a ship that can kill an AFK ship drifting in the no-fire zone faster than the station can kill them
Oh - and what happens if you disembark (yes, the ship would have to be in the hangar for that - but this in itself still blocks the pad) and go for a walk down to the concourse and Pioneer supplies? Is your ship still shown as in the hangar in this case? And what about when you leave your ship there and take an Apex taxi to somewhere else?

Happens all the time at Tarach Tor and any CG with a megaship.
As repeatedly said log to solo for this (even PGs where you know everyone aren't immune).
As a parent there are frequent times I have to go AFK for indeterminate periods at little or no notice.
Whilst I try to clear solitary pads quickly this is a courtesy, not a requirement.
If you aren't going to log to solo then be prepared to queue.

Block player. Log to desktop. Launch game in Open, blocked player gone. Simples.
Block every player like that and pretty soon you will have an Open version of Solo.
Why not include "inconsiderate pilots" in your immersion? Interdict them before they get to the next outpost if you want to go head-to-head or you could contact them and work out a route that doesn't conflict with each other, make friends and work together to share mission rewards.
There are "inconsiderate people" who hurt feelings in real life and also this galaxy. Either deal with them as a friend or enemy or avoid them, plenty of good advice in this thread.

OK just a verbal warning for the noobies, that can be ignored

IRL I have to deal with a constant stream of "I'll only be five minutes" people parking on the street next to the shop and choking up the entrance to the neighbourhood (which thanks to 80s-era "traffic calming" urban design, only has one way in and out) literally ten feet from the entrance to the actual car park.
It's always a different person each time, each individually thinks "oh I'll only be a couple of minutes" with the aggregate effect of the road being near-constantly blocked.

Fair enough. I literally laughed out loud when I read it, though. No way FDevs is reading the forum outside of posts they make and even then only the first page or so. Sally, maybe. The rest? Not a chance.
How do you know they don't read it? They would not identify themselves as Fdev staff. That would be suicide. You make a comment the forum does not like, shot down in flames. You make a comment the management do not like, fired. Best to read the decent stuff and make a mental note, ignore the rubbish and never, ever post a comment.

Let's just say that's there's a history of neglect and lack of communication. They're not reading the forum.

Actually, NPCs don't like pad squatting, either. When you're pad squatting at an outpost for extended periods of time, even in small ship, NPCs may gather in impressive numbers and form a silent protest. They don't say anything. They don't complain. They just sit there, staring at you. Pretty creepy. I have captured a scanner image of such a protest at Ngalinn. Can you feel their disapproving stares?

I bet you wish you had an Energy Bomb

Management - definitely not
Devs - Probably, just out of curiosity
CM team - should be
Sally - definitely

The problem is not the reading, its the ability / permission to respond. Due to an imposed blackout or being too busy on other activities. I think if they explained why there was radio blackout and all the hard work an average CM did instead then they would be a bit more sympathy. How about "a day in the life of a CM" video. Now there is a challenge CMs !! (if you are reading!)

Hello, it is clear at the title. I have been to an outpost and my ship could only land on landing pad 3 but it was occupied, despite my warnings the occupier stayed there then left like 15 minutes or so later not saying sorry or anything, just with a o7. Then after a short while I saw the same person on another post and same happened, this time just shorter than 15 minutes and left without any apology or anything else. In the first encounter I lost my mission bonus but more irritating thing was that I lost unnecessary time for someones unresponsibility
So when you go to the grocery store, everybody inside instantly drops everything they're doing, runs out to their cars and moves them so you can park to go in?

Is that how your life works?

Seriously?

I bet the head waiter instantly leaps into action when you walk through the door and hurls people at a nearby table out so you can instantly be seated and served as well. Must be awesome to be you.

You are utterly trying so hard to manipulate my point. This example has nothing to do with what happened in game. But the following example might give you an idea. You go to an ATM with your car, only one spot to park and using that ATM takes like 3 minutes at max. You go there and see a car parked and you see the person at the ATM. You wait for a while patiently and see that it is taking longer that it was supposed to. You ask if it is going to take longer cause if you do your thing in 15 minutes you will get bonus money. When they don't respond you say you asked that because you have a bonus for your thing. They still be silent etc and you lose your bonus. Almost same happens with same person at another ATM a short while later. I know things can happen and you have to go afk immediately but when you turn back and see you blocked someone else's thing you say sorry mate something popped up etc. You don't have to but it is common courtesy. I could switch to solo but as I have said I like the interactions and immersion of open play. Not a huge thing but it was irritating so I wanted to open a topic to ask what to do in such a case. No need to act like I am butchering everyone who gets in my way. Also thanks to people who replied with understanding, by understanding I don't say only people who supported my point but all people who could look from my perspective and replied with insight.
