Noticed a similar thing today. Lost rep after killing some wanted a nav point.

Looks like the bug has crept its way back in.

I've been mitigating this by hitting pirates at RES. Find a system with a pirate station in orbit about a suitable gas giant and you'll have tons of pirates to play with and only have to worry about losing faction with them.

Oddly enough, doesn't seem to be applying to killing stuff in Conflict Zones. I didn't do any missions for them, just combat bonds.

Yes. This is the case.

It's really not a big deal; these will be piracy factions. Having then dislike you is not going to affect your game at all.

Havnt they said that something is currently broken?
I think it was in relation with illegal stuff, where a sub-faction overrides the major factions or so

I got the same thing without KWS scans at one point. Just normal "point scan" and kill. All wanteds. Came back to the station and rep went red on all fronts. Maybe its a bug that affect some systems only because i dont get this issue in SOL atm. Not sure. But killing wanteds in a system and drop off the bounties at a station in that system should surely not give you bad rep.

Only for missions. If you just hang around a Nav/Res without any mission to kill x number of whatever, all your kills should not have any effect to any faction/subfaction. Only the cashing in of bounties have effect, and that's always positive. This was added as a fix quite early (during gamma? or Launch?)

So something undid those fixes.

Too bad that person is either playing solo and combat logging. If he is the real deal, a really good bounty hunter would have gotten a hit and told stories about the hunt when he was at 1 billion.. :-/

This list is an affront to human decency, not only is the #1 blatantly a bug or cheater, but I've not had my bounty claimed yet so I should at least be #2!

It's part of the GalNet news so one has to take it with a pinch of salt - the bounty list has been missing for a while but could someone have got that high???

And you get 0 reward if you are able to take me down. That's a bug at least in my case, the ticket is created. That's not a bounty on my head, but the bounty rewards that Federation owes me for the vouchers that I have. The same applies for Komovoy bounties. Screenshots under spoilers:

Good luck finding them. They're probably Solo / Group play like someone else mentioned and simply cheating their way to the top.

Are you saying the whole list might be bugged / a mistake? I want to make sure before I wrongly pursue such ones.

I cannot say for the others. But this is so in my case. The listed wanted bounties are actually the bounty rewards that I did not claim yet. And you can clearly see that on the screenshots that I have provided as wanted bounty are equal to my unclaimed bounty rewards rewards (or a sum of two claims in Komovoy that I have).
