The "Can I Run Planet Coaster" thread

I'm not the best with computers so can someone please tell me whether or not I'm within the specs needed to run this game? If not is there anything that I can do to get the game to play without crashing after 5 minutes. Never had a problem with alpha. I fear that I'm below the needed requirement. I appreciate the help! My system is below:

Windows surface
Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40 GHz
RAM 4.00 GB
Windows 10
System 64 bit

Hey Guys!!! Some assistance would be greatly appreciated:
My system is

Windows 10 64bit
Intel Core i5 -4460 CPU @ 3.2GHZ, 4 core
RAM 6GB DDR3
AMD r7 240 2GB graphics card

THANKS!!!!

Planet Coaster is very well optimised, and you will find a host of different settings in the graphics menu in game, to help you find settings that are best suited for your system - as a reminder, here is the minimum and recommended system specifications:

This is a rough guideline of the requirements to run the game.

Minimum:
OS: Windows 7 (SP1+)/8.1/10 64bit
Processor: Intel i5-2300/AMD FX-4300
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GTX 560 (2GB)/AMD Radeon 7850 (2GB)
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 8 GB available space
Additional Notes: Minimum specifications may change during development.

Recommended:
OS: Windows 7 (SP1+)/8.1/10 64bit
Processor: Intel i7-4770/AMD FX-8350
Memory: 12 GB RAM
Graphics: nVidia GTX 980 (4GB)/AMD R9 380 (4GB)
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 8 GB available space
Additional Notes: Recommended specifications may change during development.
In order to find your computers configuration, please follow these steps:

Search for dxdiag on the start menu, dxdiag.exe should come up at the top of the list. Start this program. The dxdiag window is organized into several tabs, the first is the System tab.

Here you should see:

Which operating system is installed.
  • The processor model, (reference) speed and number of CPU cores, as well as the approximate speed it is actually running at. Unless overclocked, the speeds should be close to each other.
  • The amount of RAM that is available.

Next is the Display tab, it shows:
  • The installed graphic card's name.
  • The memory installed on the card.
  • The version and release date of the installed driver.

Comparing this data to the given minimum is fairly straight forward. Should you run into problems or questions, just click "Safe All Information" in dxdiag.exe, open a ticket with the resulting DxDiag.txt attached and we can take a look for you.

GPUBoss and CPUBoss can help you compare your own systems compared to recommended specifications required.

Apologies if these specs have been covered but I haven't seen them. I'm not exactly Tech savvy either. Would anyone be able to tell me if my PC will run planet coaster. Thanks in advance.

I run with a 4460, 16gb ram and a 970. Runs fine between 20-30fps until around 4,000+ guests then it's just tolerable. I usually cap my large park around 2,000-3,000 guests but it can push 7,000 with around 15fps.

I bought this game yesterday and it runs fine apart from the odd lag here and there and one major issue - the coasters are black with lines coming off them. My specs are below, can someone help me?

Operating system
Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
Processor Intel Core i3-3110M CPU @ 2.40GHz
8192MB RAM
DirectX 11
Intel HD Graphics 4000 Family with 1792 MB.

Get a newer graphics card. Your i3 is low but if you can play you will be ok with a stronger card. I would recommend price wise the 1070 or the Gtx 980 or the TI version. It's up to you. See what you can get with the budget you have.

Other than that try to lower all the settings to the lowest you can and see if you still get the same problem.

Last thing you could try the cheapest way is to see if your GPU has any newer updates.

Good luck

I haven't bought the Beta yet, but I would like to know what most people experienced in regards to performance compared to the Alpha 2. I normally get 25-30 frames per second with 1,000- 2,000 peeps.

Hey guys,

I am thinking of buying planet coaster, but waiting for black friday to see if it will go on sale somewhere. Before I buy it though, I want to run my specs by you guys to see if I can run it decently. The game looks so good I do want it to actually look good when I get it and not either be laggy or bad quality. Here are my specs:
Video Card: GeForce GTX 950M
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bit
RAM: 16GB
If you need anything else please ask. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help!

It's always hard to answer a question like that, because performance depends on the size and content of your parks. I expect you will be able to play Planet Coaster with your computer. The thing is that even high end computer experience lower fps when playing with very large parks with lots of content in them.

The beta of Planet Coaster is no longer available. Planet Coaster is released since November 17, 2016.

Can someone help I keep getting the message no suitable 3D graphics adapter is available

Not trying to sound funny but that is a pretty self-explanatory error message... What type of video card do you have? Does your PC meet the minimum specs required to run the game?

These are the official system requirements from Frontier: https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=292

Note, if your CPU,GPU and system RAM meet the "Recommended requirements", you should be able to play this on 1920x1080 high/maxed settings.

I also have an HP 15-ab222tx laptop:
8GB DDR3L 1600 RAM (1dimm)
6th gen Skylake Intel Core i5-6200U (2.3Ghz with turbo boost to 2.7Ghz, 3MB cache, integrated Intel HD 520 graphics)
2GB dedicated AMD R7 M360

With Alpha 2, I was only getting 1fps on 1080p Low settings. The AMD GPU did a little better averaging 8-20fps but that was only for small maps with up to 2,000 people.

So.... earlier this year, I decided to get my 1st custom desktop PC. It has the almighty 6th gen Skylake Intel Core i7-6700k (4 cores, 8 threads, not a dual core processor, 8MB cache, a high 4Ghz base speed with turbo boost to 4.2Ghz, it's like the highest stock clock speed processor out of like Intel's 6th gen processor lineup, integrated Intel HD 530). Also has 16GB DDR4 HyperX system RAM, a HyperX SSD, and AMD R9 390. I can play the Full Version of this game, easily on 1920x1080 maxed settings with 30-60fps even with bigger parks with 5,000 people.
