Great news! Glad I could (supposedly) contribute a bit to this by selling exploration data to the VIU.
So, according to the table below (made from the one MB gave us in Newsletter #106), it should be 3 days(*) before civil war erupts. So that should mean sometime on Saturday.
(*) I'm assuming the units are days, but I couldn't find any confirmation of this.
ticks, which *should* happen once a day... maybe somebody could state, whether we need to match influence for three day?

Yes units are in days
No need to hold influence once war is pending,
we have two options at the moment, we can start pushing the canonn towards 75% so we can expand once war is finished or keep things stable and mop up any remaining stations in varati
I have a feeling we may take forsskal and all of VIUs gound bases, Will try to confirm this but its probably best to keep things stable at the moment just in case as raising canonn influence should be very easy

a have a battlesidey, an eagle, a plasma acclerator-dbs, a courier and vulture ready for take-off, and i plan to give them all a run (or two)! i'm soooooo disappointed about our VIU allies going to war...
How is outfitting in Varati these days?
I was thinking of going directly from the Pleiades and just buff up the Science Asp. I have guns and A-rated thrusters, FDS and distributor. The rest is D-Class.
Will i find A or B class Power supply and class 6 shields?
I don't have the time to go to Jameson and build a real combat ship.

I usually stop by gladutji (spelling?) @ Leroys its 150Ly from Varati and slight detour when you travel from the pleiades. A couple of hightech systems nearby if a module is missing.

Bond Hub : PP 4A, 5A and 6B, Shields 4A, 5B (was in my FDL, so cant see 6s, but would guess only 6B at best)
Thompson Dock : PP 4B, 5A and 6B, Shields 4B, 5B, 6B
Odd that Bond has better small shields than Thompson, but you are still restricted to a 6B Shield (probably).
Thank you (and danubezoe). B-Class stuff will do fine. I'm so poor, I probably cant afford A-rated anyway.
i personally wouldn't take an AspE into Combatzones - to many railgun ships in there, to big hitbox... you could outfit an a class combat eagle outfitting in thompson and bonds hub for around 1 mio, or a Viper in bactrimpox for 3 - or a DBS if you want to stay lakon in munchheim, 90 ly away, for 5 or 6 --- all these ships will perform better, and are cheaper than your required upgrades even if a-classed, and have a much smaller insurance!
