Running profitable trade in OPEN mode you should have had escort(s). If you won't take basic precautions to protect your cargo and ship, sympathy will be found in any dictionary, right between ship and syphilis. o7
Yesss, we're killing the spirit of the game by defending ourselves.
That's the mentality I like to see!
In cattle....
Can I have a go with your tarrot cards/crystal ball/wild speculation engine next please?
I'd very much like the lottery numbers so I can get a new graphics card.
You know actually making a point and pretending to be intelligent are different things correct? Anyone make a speculation in that statement? No I did not. I said plainly and clearly that FDEV will make a decision on how this game goes forward. Right now well over 80% of the games population play in Solo or Group. Everyone else is the minority.
So if you were a publicly traded company beholden to share holders, how would you approach the situation? Would you say screw the share holders lets burn this mother down? Or might you say lets go where the money is?
Delusion will only get you as far as failure.
I really don't understand what the problem with open is - pretty much every Cmdr I've spoken to has been friendly, and even the pirates actually ask for your cargo (although I haven't encountered any code pilots yet).
Nothing wrong with playing in solo either, but personally I appreciate the added social/gameplay other players bring to the table, piracy or nay. Or should that be Aarrr?
You know, writing words, attaching made up statistics and attributing a real world analogy to a computer game doesnt make you intelligent either.
Suggesting that FDev will have to step in and disenfranchise an element of its playerbase to keep another element, when its not a subscription based game (so in other words, if you rage quit and leage, theyve already got your money) is ridiculous, particularly when as youve already stated, other modes exist.
Go back to your private or solo game and trying to claim that open mode players are a cancer.
The key is remembering it's a game, and it can be fun when there's bad guys
Not sure that would be a good Idea, they are pirates after all. You don't want to disrupte things so traders stop coming, business must keep going.as well as open PVP, the code should UA bomb and minor faction state disrupt things as well to affect all modes
But they will. I play in open exclusively and the cancer isnt Open mode. The cancer are morons whose sole focus is to ruin the game to the point that nobody plays in Open. I love open but I utterly unabashedly and rightfully despise the lolzbunny crowd you seem to be defending.
They have taken everything that was promised when this game was created and almost singularly driven its concept straight into the toilet. The 80% I speak of can be seen clearly by the numbers provided by steam spy and the largest known non Open player groups. The largest player group has now opened yet another division working its way to 60k players. Statistically speaking the number is probably higher than 80% if you take probability into account. I am not going to apologize for coming up with a much more generous realistic figure to make it seem not so bleak.
I know this has been mentioned several times and by Sandro to boot, that they are well aware the majority of their players are not interested in PVP forced or not. I am pretty sure it was in the Beta forums. For some reason I cant see them now so I could provide you with the link.
Anyone else post a links to the times where the devs stated they knew that most people played in solo or group? I know there wasnt.

UA bombing? But that's griefing. D:
