The CODE messing with Yum Kamcabi system and the CG

Running profitable trade in OPEN mode you should have had escort(s). If you won't take basic precautions to protect your cargo and ship, sympathy will be found in any dictionary, right between ship and syphilis. o7

Yesss, we're killing the spirit of the game by defending ourselves.

That's the mentality I like to see!

In cattle....

Are you actually going to pick a side in the conversation or continue to make jabs?

You antagonize against the OP in one statement and then in another statement all of the sudden you are in complete agreement with the OP. Again you take one point made that is only a part of a whole and try to fit it to your narrative/ethos of fight first fight last fight always. Please pick a point of view and stick with it. If you want to argue for the sake of arguing then go do it in the mirror. We dont need someone who contradicts themselves in each post cluttering up the boards.

Can I have a go with your tarrot cards/crystal ball/wild speculation engine next please?

I'd very much like the lottery numbers so I can get a new graphics card.

You know actually making a point and pretending to be intelligent are different things correct? Anyone make a speculation in that statement? No I did not. I said plainly and clearly that FDEV will make a decision on how this game goes forward. Right now well over 80% of the games population play in Solo or Group. Everyone else is the minority.

So if you were a publicly traded company beholden to share holders, how would you approach the situation? Would you say screw the share holders lets burn this mother down? Or might you say lets go where the money is?

Delusion will only get you as far as failure.

I went to the CG in my clipper and Instantly got interdicted by wing of 3. They didn't attack me but stated that they were members of The Code and wanted half my cargo after conducting a scan. I charged my fsd and told em that they can eat my dust and jumped. They followed me to the next system and killed me there lol. But I did come back in my speed Adder and run thru the blockade 10 times. I love players who actually roleplay in the game. Even though I didn't give you any of my loot Pirates, I still respect and appreciate what you do in game. And that goes for all player groups Feds Imperials and PvPers alike.

You know, writing words, attaching made up statistics and attributing a real world analogy to a computer game doesnt make you intelligent either.

Suggesting that FDev will have to step in and disenfranchise an element of its playerbase to keep another element, when its not a subscription based game (so in other words, if you rage quit and leage, theyve already got your money) is ridiculous, particularly when as youve already stated, other modes exist.

Go back to your private or solo game and trying to claim that open mode players are a cancer.

I really don't understand what the problem with open is - pretty much every Cmdr I've spoken to has been friendly, and even the pirates actually ask for your cargo (although I haven't encountered any code pilots yet).

Nothing wrong with playing in solo either, but personally I appreciate the added social/gameplay other players bring to the table, piracy or nay. Or should that be Aarrr?

The key is remembering it's a game, and it can be fun when there's bad guys

But they will. I play in open exclusively and the cancer isnt Open mode. The cancer are morons whose sole focus is to ruin the game to the point that nobody plays in Open. I love open but I utterly unabashedly and rightfully despise the lolzbunny crowd you seem to be defending.

They have taken everything that was promised when this game was created and almost singularly driven its concept straight into the toilet. The 80% I speak of can be seen clearly by the numbers provided by steam spy and the largest known non Open player groups. The largest player group has now opened yet another division working its way to 60k players. Statistically speaking the number is probably higher than 80% if you take probability into account. I am not going to apologize for coming up with a much more generous realistic figure to make it seem not so bleak.

I know this has been mentioned several times and by Sandro to boot, that they are well aware the majority of their players are not interested in PVP forced or not. I am pretty sure it was in the Beta forums. For some reason I cant see them now so I could provide you with the link.

Anyone else post a links to the times where the devs stated they knew that most people played in solo or group? I know there wasnt.

Playing around now a bit on CGs on second account with a Hauler, got interdicted once by a pirated yesterday, no clue if it was someone from the Code but it seems Pirates are really back. For quite a while every Trade CG I was I only ever did run into people who just wanna blow me up, which is really boring when it is the only thing that happns.
So yeah, if the code is there come and pirate me! Not gonna give you anything tough, so bring hatchbreakers :p

as well as open PVP, the code should UA bomb and minor faction state disrupt things as well to affect all modes
Not sure that would be a good Idea, they are pirates after all. You don't want to disrupte things so traders stop coming, business must keep going.

Any game with multiplayer/pvp aspects are going to have a minority of morons that enjoy popping ships for no reason at all. I don't think it's fair to lump a group that actually demand cargo and give you fair warning in the same category as the 'lulzbunnies' :)

Incidentally, nothing FDev do will change the behaviour of idiots. Having a working bounty hunting dynamic in place is the best you can hope for, so other players actively them down. Or kill them yourself. That said, the galaxy is so big that unless you're unlucky or at a CG, I can't really see how they are a problem. Either way, just like in reality, a small percentage of morons are ever present, and they're not going away anytime soon. I just try to ignore/avoid (and maybe explode, if I get good enough ;P) them if possible. In Elite, it is entirely possible, even in open.

Also, as I already mentioned, I don't think I've encountered a friendlier group of players in online gaming - every Cmdr I've spoken to, flown past, etc, has been very amicable. Plenty of people seem to be in open at the CGs I've been to so far too. Based on my experience so far, I don't think the game is anywhere near the pvp toilet hell you're suggesting. Have you played EvE? Eve(! :D)n that isn't that bad in general. Having said that I've only been playing a few weeks, so maybe I'll be unpleasantly suprised hah.
