The Code oppose legal highs in DISO

There won't be a single chef left in the entire Old World. I'm hungry. Maybe a little Diso Ma Corn might just take the edge off? Ow!

What a hilarious display of arrogance over and over again. How interesting.
Come on people, respond with appropriate in-game verve. That could actually become some drama-rich bollywood space opera.

But down to the point:
Instead of discussing the behaviour of players and boasting about wannabe higher moral and intellectual grounds* over and over again, lets just use our time to play the game.
Fly in multiple wings and convoy structures to avoid being patronized or pirated, fight back, run, or even submit if that is your way, let no one tell you where you should or should not play, but just enjoy!

Fly safe commanders.

*) Sorry I just found I have a hard time to take claims of intellectual higher ground serious, when they are uttered by players with naive avatars and signatures ...

Eh, most of this is roleplay angst anyway. I actually like the role the Code play in E: Dangerous and would be sad to see them go.

I never said it was in your post, but surely you're not denying that you are reneging on the travel passes you already sold.

Which has been clearly stated by your leadership here.

Pirates make bad liars.

Public statements and actual actions are distinct, and remember we are pirates.

That is all I have to say in that regard.

I don't get the 'CODE' at all.

On one hand; "come here little one, let me pirate you and ruin your day"

On the other; "stay away from the diso, lave, leesti cluster"

Am I the only one who sees the irony? :)

Traders are welcomed, bounty hunters are not.

Traders that try to bypass our blockade on CGs within the Lave cluster are not welcomed.

Simple enough I say and I don't see the irony, unfortunately.

Moral high ground is something that should be non-existent for that the simple concept of it is self-defeating in my books.

Intellectual high ground on the other hand, there will definitely be difference in the amount of knowledge a person possesses versus another, though that does not disqualify someone from voicing one's opinion on a matter. Though, I can always say that gauging knowledge is a task almost as worthless as gauging moral high ground.

"Naive avatar and signature."

Uh... sure, but please keep in mind that there are people who express themselves differently than you do and hold different value assumptions. Dismissing them based on this sort of shallow judgement (see what I did here? Yes, precisely what you did) seem a little unwarranted.

But again, you are entitled to assess information as you see fit. However, keep in mind that it provides any other player the same ability. Unless you believe you are inherently better than those that you dismiss, which I hope you don't, I don't think the response in the matter you provided is necessary to convey your thoughts. I can be wrong, of course.

CODE:

claiming to fight against tyranny ---> then demand the payment for a "pass" otherwise face destruction by their "authority"

declaring governments and corporations as a disease feeding on humanity ----> then confirming that they are working for "Reinhardt Intelisys" as mercenaries.

So far every action taken and post made (in this thread and the whole forum) by code were so hypocritical and ironic it hurts my brain.

Well congratulations, you just described a universal trait. Now extrapolate from that and apply it to anything and everything and you will find that hypocrisy is everywhere.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion on CODE, and mind you I spared you.

Nope... I played you :p (I lived and kept my cargo). Actually... I don't think CODE completely sucks... actually think its good to have such things in the Elite universe. (so long as they pirating others and not me that is)

So what you're basically saying is that your public statements are lies.

Pirates or liberators, pick one. You can't be both.

I don't know how me leaving you at 1% drive is getting played but okay, if you say so. And thank you for appreciating our existence.

We are pirates, that's all I can say with my level of authority in the association.

Depend on how you define them, I won't go into a tangent about philosophy on how is that possible, since not a lot of people seem interested in reading the rational explanation and you are entitled to distinguish the two and believe they are mutually exclusive.

Stop coercion? This world is about coercion. Society coerces you to believe in a morality to begin with if we want to talk philosophy and political theory. Now you are measuring that morality believing in non-coercion against another? What?

As for your comment on our handling with the drugs, you may accuse however you want, and I won't stop you.

As for the travel pass option, if anything it presents our seriousness and determination. Also, we have the right to define the the content of the travel pass. Under the special circumstance of a CG, the pass has a different definition.

If you dislike that, then you must dislike any EULA/Terms of Service/Terms of Users. Since they all utilize this method to withhold the final right to define their service.

How many of those have you signed up for? That's right, countless of them, why aren't you complaining to those?

the enforceability of EULAs is indecisive at best. In the U.S. anyway. So, I guess it's an apt analogy.

Just joined the forums to comment on this, i'm pretty new at the game, just got my first asp through a massive rare route. heard about diso and decided to stop by. I got interdicted by someone talking about CODE. escaped with no problem. happened another time, ran just as easily. they were my first two failed interdiction's too.

Get better pilots if you want to threaten anyone. I'll do as i damn well please in Diso, and just cause you I'll stop by Leesti too.

Although the play style does add something to the game, CODE aren't all they're cracked up to no matter the manner of their protestations.

Lolwutnow?

I really don't think pirates should refer to EULAs and TOS..........

We are living in the future :)

I imagine, like any organisation, that depends on who you are up against. I'd be interested to know what the entry level requirement is for code - do you have to audition, pvp, etc etc, or is it gauged more on your enthusiasm for their group... :)
