The Colonia Connection Route Map

Turned out I had just gone past Hillary Depot and Amundsen is just on my way. This is perfect. Thank you for this thread. :)

All these installations are planet based?

So for those of us who cannot have Horizons we still have to chug along the old fashioned way?

Nice I'll probably pay a visit... some time.
For now I'll just head at the northest end of the galaxy, I want to go over 65.000 ly!!!

I suppose though that this is the real beginning of new human bubbles in the game.
I just hope we don't find pirates everywhere!!!!!

You know that could describe your avatar, right? :D

How very dare you!
For a start, I'm YELLOW, Not orange!
Second, That used to be my own hair!

OK, My life is punctuated by a series of small explosions, but they're small.

...A) you can now use Neutron stars to boost your fsd, (got my Anaconda jumping just under 140Ly...

Whaaa? :) Been offline since March and have completely missed Engineers. Is this Neutron/FSD boost something you need to acquire via Engineers before you find Neutrons, or is it somehow retroactive?

Thanks!

To neutron boost you don't need any engineering. find yourself a NS, travel in SUPERCRUISE to the END of one of the emission cones. Remeber to have your FUEL SCOOP active. You will see a message your FSD is operating outside stanrds, your ship will be kicked by turbolences, keep the nose away from the NS itself and wait for a message that your FSD got boosted.

Now travel AWAY from the emission cone, and manual plot your next jump. You can get 4x normal jumprange, but depends on the NS power. White Dwarves charges you too, but to a lesser degree.

Don't exit supercruise while in the cone, that's a death sentence in 99% of scenarios, especially if you are flying a brick (Anaconda).

Even if the procedure will be faultless, your FSD will get damaged by 1% or 2%. If you neutron boost a lot it will add up and eventually your FSD will start to malfuction. For these reasons AMFU is highly suggested.

There are entire routes to jump from NS to NS (but remeber to refuel becouse you can't scoop NS), that can cut travel times when you get good at it.

If you get a disconnect while in the NS system, a bug will place you out of Supercruise in the emission cone. If this happens immidiatly log out and make a ticket to have your ship moved to a safe place.

I hope i summarized everything.

...is there any more distant outpost around the galaxy or just these on the way into Colonia ?

At the moment they are the only ones. For old explorers they are very handy, we were used to not have the conf of a station outside the bubble.

Are there any NPC "bad guys" along the Colonia route? I'm on the far side of Sag A, and Polo looks very tempting to aim for to dump my exploration data 10,000LY sooner! I'd prefer to know what to expect as I approach there... :)

Usually, it's pretty quiet. But since the CCC is currently on their way, you might want to drop into the CCN discord and ask for an escort. Plenty of bored escort CMDRs around ;-)

Cool!

Colonia was actually slightly closer to me, so I'm heading there, now 9,000LY away. Is Colonia a planetary station or the home of Jaques? (been out of the loop for 9 months!)

As an aside, love the way you can filter KGBFOAM stars on the route planner, huge time-saver!

Thanks!
