General / Off-Topic The Covid vaccine must be mandatory ?

You try to scare me. :)

I know there are deaths and people with consequences. But it is a minority compared to the total number of contaminations and even more compared to the total number of inhabitants on the planet.

There are of course sick people who are not old or/and overweight /obese, but this is not the type of representative people.

For my part, I also had serious pneumonia two years ago (the devastating flu of 2018). So I relativize all now.

😷

You should be scared Patrick, the vaccine's a million to one against causing harm. Covid's about a 20% chance for getting seriously ill, 69% for getting long lasting health impacts and 1% lethal.

An official from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) confirms the existence of a link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and the cases of thrombosis observed after its administration.

The European Medicines Agency is not yet able to determine what causes thrombosis after taking the vaccine.

"We can now say it, it is clear that there is a link with the vaccine. What causes this reaction, however, we don't yet know. To sum up, in the next few hours we will say that there is a link, but we still have to understand how it happens ”.

😷

Marco Cavaleri, head of vaccine strategy at EMA said (regarding the link between Astrazeneca and thrombosis):

"Among those vaccinated, there are a higher number of cases of cerebral thrombosis in young people than we would expect. We have to say that”

😷

Brain thrombosis :

For Paul Hunter, a specialist in medical microbiology at the University of East Anglia, "the evidence points to the fact that the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is indeed the cause".

😷

“The number of blood clots European countries have seen are 30 among the population of 17 million who have had the jab.

“The risk is lower than we see in the normal population. I would like to reassure people that the vaccine is safe.”

‘Contraceptive pill increases blood clot by 7.5 times’

And certainly the EU Green Certificate influenced the UK to go down this path. Way of the reason and the wisdom.

And will influence many other countries in the world.

Which is initially the avowed aim of the European Commission.

Try to maintain a form of security, while maintaining the maximum of freedom, so that the planet continues to turn.

The countries which will use the compulsory vaccination passport and will practice the segregation of a part of the world population, will take the obvious risk of isolating themselves from the international community.

😷

Honestly, I'm finding it a bit puzzling the way people (including Boris) are banging on about a "vaccination passport" being introduced.

Don't these people know, we already have such a document?

Bizarre thing is, I took mine with me when I got my Covid jab but the nurse refused to fill it in.

Obviously, it doesn't have a specific page recording Covid vaccinations because it's about 10 years old, now, but it does have a couple of blank pages for spurious vaccinations.
These booklets have been available for at least 30 years and anybody who's travelled to more remote countries probably already has one.
Seems like, at best, a new page could be printed for Covid jabs, or they could just be listed on the blank pages.

I guess people could argue they aren't sufficient proof of Covid vaccination but they've always been acceptable for things like Yellow Fever, Hepatitis, Measles and other dangerous diseases. 🤷‍♂️

The supermarkets will carry on as now wear a mask socially distance or get booted onto the street, by shop staff who do it anyway or security where they use them. Passports don't really apply since even conspiracy theorists have to eat.

Pubs and restaurants can do what they do now with ID for drinking age ask if they want and refuse entry/service if they want and keep their own list of banned people by whatever criteria they deem fit.

With travel you'll need your valid vaccine passport to buy the ticket online or via the phone or at the desk. Again they have their own people for booting anyone stroppy without valid documents or a mask.
Now you are talking out of your bottom.

People are NOT being booted out on to the street, for not wearing masks and social distancing in the shops. Well not where i live anyway. I went out to town, on Saturday and I would say that 1 in 10 were ignoring the mask and social distancing laws, within the stores and 1 in 5 were doing the same on the street. The police and local enforcement were no where to be seen and those now given the hopeless task of 'managing' the door, were being simply ignored by those who chose not to wear masks and have found themselves powerless, to do anything about it. In fact, it was those wearing masks etc., who were making more noise and offering more confrontation towards the refusing to comply.

The only person I saw without a mask on my last shopping trip (discounting young kids) was wearing a "medical mask exemption" badge on a neck lanyard and wheezing so probably COPD which is a legit exemption, although they were also extremely overweight so would probably be far better off masking anyway.

Don't worry they'll all have had a really good laugh at you afterwards.

Yeah, I guess it's bonkers to think that a vaccination record should be used for, y'know, recording a vaccination.

Meanwhile, a bunch of clever people all argue about whether or not we should introduce some kind of booklet for documenting vaccinations.

And it's me who people are laughing at?

On your first jab they fill in and give you a covid-19 vaccination card. On the second they update it. They update your medical record at the same time since the vaccine passport itself is intended to be digital, the card might come in handy for your local.

This is not a vaccination passport but rather a covid status certificate because it will have several options.

One of these options among others will be vaccination but not mandatory for access in public places.

A person will be able to take the plane, the train, go to the stores and drink a pint in a pub without needing to be vaccinated.

Another complaint against X was filed by the family of a medical student from Nantes in France who died after receiving an injection of the AZ vaccine. :(

This complaint follows another complaint recently filed by the family of a 38-year-old woman who also died after receiving an AZ injection. :(

😷

.

The family of a 63-year-old man, who died in March in Haute-Savoie of "multiple thromboses" after receiving a first injection of AstraZeneca's anti-Covid vaccine, has filed a complaint against X, declared today the prosecutor of the Annecy tribunal. :(

All these many deaths due to a vaccine, are dramatic. We can compare these events to lethal injection euthanasia.

Vaccine passport, the clue is in the name. There's very few anti-vaxxers here in the UK happily so it would be odd to call it anything else.

The percentage of them dropped on rollout, when everyone failed to sprout 5G antenna's a lot of the conspiracies started looking a bit daft even to the tinfoil-hat brigade.

You'd be better informed by comparing them to covid-19 related deaths.

As the EMA itself said, “The number of thromboembolic events overall in vaccinated people seems not to be higher than that seen in the general population.”

Concerning the last complaint against X, the brother of the victim declared :

“In the space of a day and a half, he multiplied problem after problem, thromboses on vital organs, liver, kidneys, brain… then he was placed in intensive care. This has been dazzling" :(

Given we know covid-19 causes blood clots and there's something of an outbreak going on in the area's that suffer from vaccine reluctance I hope they are testing these poor people in case they are foolishly blaming the vaccine for something the virus is doing.

This is the essential beyond the denomination ;)

The easiest safest and most popular one is vaccination.

I just wish random experts (Neil "shagger" Ferguson and some italtian EMA dude) would stop pre-empting what both the MHRA and the EMA are looking into.

Given the seriousness of it the findings and new recommendations if any should be released together with source reference and context.

The last thing the world needs is confidence in one of the few currently available much needed vaccines being further dented unless it's absolutely warranted.
