RALLY POINT T3 ? Or is it O3????
CONFLUX
"system name"
NODE STAND BY

_________________________________________________
Can someone clarify if the Rally Points do actually match with the designations in the system names? (Either actual system of the beacon or the closest of the CG mission targets)
I suspect it's the case, but if NOT then maybe there's some significance in the letter (the number is quite simply 1 2 or 3)

eAnd on that, I'm seriously on the kness, good night folks o7

I started my journey to the rift last night heading towards the EAFOTS system mentioned in the CG. I signed up the Children Of Raxxla CG and not the Feds one. I made 4 kylies before going to bed. First time I've been exploring since Distant Worlds.

I think I'm going to concentrate on the more remote areas to test out my exploraconda build maximised for jump range (57.10ly). Or I might go to the less attractive systems that people probably wouldn't be so interested in visiting. I'll see what happens when I get there.

I'll be flying in the Fleetcomm private group.

Should I install EDDiscovery? I was going to before I left but forgot.

I know nothing about anything, but happen to be around 6kly from conflux on Colonia side and heading bubblewards.
How can I help? (never seen a CG assuming that's what this is so don't know how they work)

Edit: I happen to be reading Drew's book at the moment so it seems fitting to do something associated with Salome

So, I arrive at the Hawkin(g)'s Gap beacon, switch to the debug cam to take a good look, and suddenly an Asp with a pirate paintjob appears out of thin space.

Erimus. Famous hero of Distant Suns, Worlds, Stars and Origins, going 'boo' on unsuspecting explorers. :)

Be warned, he has special weapons able to fire explo data faster than light!!!!!
When they hit your hull you'll see the meta!!!! Heat is a joke in comparison!!!!!

This probe is situated in the system Pru Aescs NC-M d7-192 Planet A2A

It was found by CMDR Domaq, recorded by me, trasmission kicks at :45 of every hour:

OPINION: we have already found all the probes

It seems that there should be 4 probes for given sector, one trasmitting at :00, another at :15, another at :30 and another at :45.

4 have been found in the rift
4 have been found in the gap
3 have been found in the conflux

this might lead to think that one is missing in the conflux, but:

In the rift and in the gap the given system contined the first probe, then other 3 have been found nearby.
In the conflux in the given system there's nothing: just a single M class (or K, can't remeber). M (or K) main sequence are not bigger than 1000Ls, the probe could be anchored only around the star. Whereevcer direction you enter the system, you should be at 1000Ls from the probe if it was there, since there's not another planet, not even an asterois belt.

So probably the "first" conflux probe went missing (fell in the corona of the starr, kidnapped by thargoids, whatever).
In game they probably never implemented it. They knew we would have found them superfast so they made this trick to make us consume a lot of time in the conflux.

To this I add that a 12 of CMDR (minimum) have searched the sector for 2 evenings. In the other 2 sectors all the probes have been found very fast.

I can be wrong, the probe could be in the outskirts of the area (200Ly radius), but i think we already found all the probes (they can alway ninja patch more anytime).

Quick query;
I'll bring my conflux scans (plus all the rest from Jaques to bubble) to HR6421. If I fly in Fleetcomm, do I have any worries of agro from NPC's? ie, should I be trying to organise an escort?

NPCs don't care what game mode you are playing in, so get an escort if you are concerned. The ships that NPCs appear in seems to be tied to your own ship type and their rank is also partly determined by your combat rank, so if you're an Elite-ranked combat pilot in a stripped down Anaconda, then I'd get an escort but otherwise, so long as your ship can do more than 400 m/s then you should be able to outrun most things. Avoid populated systems on your approach and you might not encounter any NPCs at all until you arrive at HR6421 itself. As it's an Anarchy there won't be police to help you, although you'll be less likely to be interdicted if you're already allied with the Children of Raxxla minor faction.

Thanks. Sounds....dicey then. I have no cargo but my Asp only has D thrusters so high 300's only.
I'm only 1300ly out now so probably a bit late to drum up support, but I had a brain wave; I'll head to a system I know I'm allied with and call over my Cobra...since we can do that now :) And then head to CoR in the Cobra and keep everything crossed :D

Since I'm not allyed with cor yet, I think I'll ask an escort. It seems that the CoR defensive fleet is active in the system these days and they do everything to welcome and accompany to the station every submitter.

We should also be safe on the UA bombing side.

Seems allied status disappears over time :( I got to Kippax Ring without incident though and the Cobra is en route. Will pop over to the CoR system in the morning (my time)....maybe 6 hrs from now, to see if I can work out how to do the CG.
How does one contact the CoR defensive fleet?

Having cargo is the main reason that you get interdicted. It can be anything of any monetary value whatsoever, although limpets seem the exception.

There are tricks to avoid an interdiction. If I'm just outside the bubble and I see an NPC on the radar then it will be someone trying to interdict me so I jump as soon as possible.

They have to get behind you to interdict you so you can keep turning to keep your behind away from them until you are ready to jump.

If you think someone is behind you, try rolling to check whether they actually are.

If you get interdicted, submit and boost away as soon as possible.

When travelling in supercruise to the station, don't head directly towards it, zig-zag towards it. This way everytime you turn the person behind you has to reposition themselves to get behind you.

Good advice, thanks :)

In the end it was all a little...anti-climatic. Handful of NPC's on radar and none interested in me so an easy flight in to dock. 857 reports submitted. Looks like I'll be heading straight back out! o7

Well I've been tagging a load of systems right at the roof of the galaxy directly up from EAFOTS EU-R C4-1. Eventually got bored and descended again. Not sure what to do now.

I'm considering actually traversing the entire gap to the next arm and seeing how far out from the edge of the galaxy I can get. I left only needing 8% to get up to Elite so it would be nice if I got enough exploration data to make it.

Anti-climatic is the best! ;) Good job on the data o7
Just turned in my data as well - 821 reports, top 10%, for the time being. I have business in the bubble right now but it doesn't take that long to make a trip out to Eafots with 40LY range, if I decide to add to my tally.

Current situation. Ashamed of my 323 so far, jonking to the rift IMMIDIATLY.

Thanks for the update on the mission status. I am slowly heading out to the Formidine Rift on my first exploration mission more than 800ly from the bubble and I realized without any Mission Boards I won't know if the mission has ended before I can get back with my data. Judging by the pace, it looks like this one may last until the deadline.

It will probably end quicker then you might imagine. Explorers don't like to return to the bubble until they absolutely have to. I suspect things will go steady up until about the day before the end of the CG and then you'll see lots of people rushing back to cash in.
