The Formidine Rift - Part 2

Some fun "inside" one of the black holes of Tradgoi AA-A h0. I did not know that we could come so close to a black hole (1m), I'll take the opportunity to check if any of the three would not be a wormhole. [noob]

Nice shots, and just some extra info for you, that system was thoroughly investigated about a week ago. Info should be this thread somewhere. But for your own exploration enjoy that system :)

Could someone give me the mass of that Black Hole?

Maybe it isn't a bug...

Hello there, I'm just adding my contribution :)

Drew said we have to focus to the "core" of the problem. I think this is the         key, with the "line" between Reorte and Riedquat. While hanging in the Formidine Rift, I was just like "wew I am looking at something I don't konw in a goddamn big area"... This can't be. I mean, something bypassed us, I'm pretty sure. My idea was to "focus at the "core" of the problem". I traced a line from reorte to Riedquat until the formidine rift, and I see there's six main star zones: DRYAEA, DRYU, GRAEH, EOWYG, DRYEAE, and finally DRYO.
First, "GRAEH" backward is "HEARG", close of "HEART" ("core" of the problem, remember...).
Second, "CORE" is only 4 letters. It can be "C0-RE" or "CO-R3" or anything in the second part of the system's name. I've already found a dozen of systems called "GRAEH CO-R ***** " ... Coïncidence?
This can be a clue, is we focus on the stars with this kind of names, we will be able to reduce a lot the field of research, don't you think ?
What's your opinion guys ? Did I smoke too much ?
Sorry for my awesome English, I'm French.

WOW!

How did you get to within 1m?

Ive tried several ways to try and get in, but failed miserably... Still rekon that somehow BHs can be wormholes, or allow you to make something like a black hole jump...

I forced the black hole by hitting the exit limit of supercruise at very low speed (bumping the black hole), just to see if something else could happen. Then I rushed straight into the black hole, reached 1m was a little tricky but everything is about speed.

Sometime there is a bug where you can enter the black hole.

It's very strange, but does nothing special with FSD.

Sure it happens nothing special going in FSD into the black hole. I tried FSD by locking the next black hole, the jump started normally, but after two seconds I was out of supercruise like when you pass too close to a star.
Before leaving the system I'll try anyway a jump from inside the black hole to another system. Just for fun. [big grin]

Thank you, I found it strange that a system like this one, already discovered, was not listed anywhere.

Interestingly, ive just worked out that most black holes cannot be entered...

The reason being, is that they are too small.

Three local Black Hole systems:

PHRIO PHOE DL-Y G1: SOLAR RADIUS: 0 - SOLAR MASS: 8.5937
PHRIO PHOE ZE-A G2: SOLAR RADIUS: 0 - SOLAR MASS: 8.9453
PHRIO PHOE AA-A H24: A: SOLAR RADIUS: 0.0001 - SOLAR MASS: 28.8945
B: SOLAR RADIUS: 0 - SOLAR MASS: 3.8320
C: SOLAR RADIUS: 0 - SOLAR MASS: 3.3828

For PHRIO PHOE AA-A H24 A I've worked out that the Schwarzschild radius should be 47.57km, and the actual size of the black hole as 695.5 meters!

Here's the math: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=28.8945+solar+mass+Newtonian+gravitational+constants+per+speed+of+light+in+vacuum+squared

Big enough to fly into... Maybe... Headed back there in the morning. Will report back.

Gypsy.

IMO it's as valid as any other approach going from the clues.

My opinion is that the clues must be a mean of pointing to some not so large area of space.
How is the question.

Bonjour :D

Just a forum-hint - when you copy your post in make sure you don't copy the formatting too - it has come out all white and hard to read, but I've tried to fix it above. Not your fault - just software being awkward. Your English is great, it's our French you have to worry about.

I think you're right about that sort of word/number play. I've spent a few hours poking names into galmap on the same basis but I'm too far away to look just now.

A bit off topic, Deep in the black on my way to the rift. Is it safe to exit the game parked on a planet or moon?

Honestly I think your better off parking out in space a few ls away from a body, due to all the bugs with logging out on a planet surface.

Anagram frenzy activated

So if we take all TheWise's sector names, and remove duplicate letters between the first three names and the last three, because that looks a bit symmetrical, that leaves A U R A H O W Y E O.

With which you write ARE YOU WOAH.

I'll keep working on it :D

Mass:

Tradgoi AA-A h0 A: 23,1172 (I was into this one)
Tradgoi AA-A h0 B: 3,3047
Tradgoi AA-A h0 C: 5,8906

I would try to enter in the other two as soon as possible.

I have a full catalog of the NGC 7822 black holes too. I will run some comparisons on those tomorrow morning.

Thinking of it, maybe we can travel from black hole to black hole---we just haven't chosen a black hole on the other side wide enough to let our ship out!

Ps...can you give solar radius as well? I need that to work the size out.

Cheers bud.

Here's a nice white jacket and some oreo's with milk for you.. [wacko]

Lol space madness claim you?

@frostypaw
"but I'm too far away to look just now"
I can go to check the systems where you got some hint if you want :)

Sorry for the forum c/p fail, I'm new here :s tanks for clarifying my post :)

I was unable to enter Tradgoi AA-A h0 B. I'll try again Tradgoi AA-A h0 A to confirm that it was not a bug the first time I have been inside, or a bug that only affects very massive black hole. That said, I have not succeeded to enter in Sgr A *.

Radius:

Tradgoi AA-A h0 A: 0,0001
Tradgoi AA-A h0 B: 0,0000
Tradgoi AA-A h0 C: 0,0000
