This may be to throw us off the scent.
Did a review of tweets back from May 2015, for reference for myself, thought I'd share:
@drewwagar: .,.. ......,. ...
No definite answer for this, the 1,26,13 answer seems most fitting.
@FenOswin: 1011000110 10010111000100001
I haven't managed a solid decode on this.
@drewwagar: 01100101 01100010 01110000 00001010
(ASCII, leading zeroes already included)
=> ebp 10
@FenOswin: 1000101 1100011 1101100 101110 100000 1000010 1101001 1101110 101110 100000 1010000 1110101 1101100 1110011 1100001 1110010
(ASCII, leading zeroes added gives)
=> Ecl. Bin. Pulsar
@drewwagar: 01001110 01101111 01110100 00100000 01010000 01110101 01101100 01110011 01100001 01110010
(ASCII, leading zeroes already included)
=> Not Pulsar

I feel it's my duty to educate them. It's the Imperial way!
I suspect that as the main body of Distant Worlds gets closer to home there will be a competitive CG announced to collect the data. The story will progress depending on which side gets the most data contributed. Smart explorers will either deliver the data in private/solo or, if they refuse to leave open, they'll want to steer clear of those CGs to avoid the BOOM.
I really hope it's more devious than that.
Competing exploration CG's yawn.
Considering how they've worked before, set to economy, charge off in any direction, honk/scoop, go, honk/scoop go,,,,til you got to stop for body functions, turn in for number of systems scanned ( 2459 this run), repeat until comatose.
After all this to end with that?
With regards to the first set of numbers being co-ordinates, none of them match the number for the galactic plane that Reorte and Riedquat sit on. However, they are at an angle to one another, so if one was to go as the crow flies and follow that line at its angle, would it eventually reach the corresponding galactic plane to the co-ordinates 1, 26, 13?
Yes, that too...cant help feeling she wants it for her own power, totaly agree.
In fact if we find it before her and her "children" we should never let her or them anywhere near it.
Keep it dark, keep it hidden, keep it safe
I'd be very surprised if any of this was relevant. This was all back in the days of madness when Drew threw us a side puzzle (that had nothing to do with the Rift or the game for that matter) to keep us occupied while FD madly tried to get UA content into the game. Everyone became obsessed with codes and ciphers, and all anyone ever got from it was a Right On, Commander(s). Not to say that some form of cipher will not play a part in what Drew has planned for the Rift, but I would disregard all of this stuff as clues, other than as a means to learning how such things work.
Agreed! we need to get this forum back on track a bit, back to the facts at hand..
Please remember that this is not a treasure hunt. It is an evolving story. Information will be available as the story progresses. No one is twisting our arm to go overboard with crazy ideas. We do that our self.
It is quite obvious to me that we don't have enough information to pinpoint the exact system form the current clues. Searching the haystack is probably the only option for now. If you think the haystack is to big, you will just have to wait for more clues. The haystack will shrink.![]()
Occurrence 2: Ovid, Metamorphoses book 2, lines 193-200:
Context: Despite his father's warnings, Phaethon uses his father's sun chariot to climb the sky:
"He sees horrific wonders scattered round,
and images of hideous animals.—
and there's a spot where Scorpion bends his claws
in double circles, and with tail and arms
on either side, stretches his limbs throughout
the space of two Celestial Signs; and when
the lad beheld him, steeped in oozing slime
of venom, swart, and threatening to strike
grim wounds with jagged spear-points, he was lost;
and, fixed in chills of horror [formidine], dropped the reins."
(Translation: Brookes More, 1922)
[Phaethon] went to his father, who had earlier sworn by the River Styx to give Phaeton anything he should ask for. Phaeton wanted to drive his father's Sun Chariot for a day. Although Helios tried to dissuade his son, Phaeton was adamant. However, when the day arrived, Phaeton panicked and lost control of the white horses that drew the chariot. First, the Earth grew chill as Phaeton flew too high and encountered the celestial scorpion, its deadly sting raised to strike. Alarmed, he dipped the chariot too close, causing the vegetation to burn. By accident, Phaeton turned most of Africa into desert and darkened the skin of the Ethiopian nation until it was black. Eventually, Zeus was forced to intervene by striking the runaway chariot and Phaeton with a lightning bolt to put an end to its rampage and Phaeton plunged into the River Eridanos.[8]

Well in that case all I see is that whatever the big secret is, is on the other side of the rift... but thats already been done, amirite?
We've only scratched the atom size tip of the iceberg out there..
Well, I'm working towards an ExploraConda to take out there. Might poke Drew first to make sure that it can be found on XB1... might go anyway for the epic view!
