The Formidine Rift - Part 2

I don't find "dark wheel affiliates" trust worthy. Because:

1.The original DW organization is... well... secret. Its a select few commanders that know thing that imps and feds only dream off. What we can find now in the bubble is affiliates/splinter factions of the orginal DW.
2.DW already know the location of Raxxla and Formadine rift too (most likely). But we dont. See the problem?

I'm, not trying to bash on dark wheel here. But I CoR is the safer bet this time.

Not part of the rift thing but have (loosely) following it on here..

'scuse me if it's been said before.. but does The Dark Wheel have a controlling faction in any system station/outpost..?

And if they do, would it be worthwhile selling exploration data there..?

Edit: sort of Ninja'd ^.. but wouldn't The Dark Wheel have to be the controlling faction for the data to benefit them..?

Yes, but the Dark Wheel was just recently created... the player group that is. (at least I THINK.) I'm sure someone will correct me quickly if I'm wrong.

Watch for tomorrow's newsletter and Galnet in the first instance, CMDRs. I will clear up any errata/confusion after that.

Many thanks to Ed Lewis, Michael Brookes, Dr. Kaii and Erimus for tonights reveal. Right on, Commanders.

Cheers,

Drew.

Oh, nice. I can finally go to bed *_*
Thanks Drew.

Hmm, now I'm thinking that both the Feds and Imps have been infiltrated and that both Lavigny-Duvall and Hudson are agents of something sinister... I mean, all the upheavel in both powers during the the period the game has been around.

No, The Dark Wheel has been in game as a faction since release.. and in game lore since the original '84 game :)

Edit: Not as a player group tho'..

So... The plot thickens!

Hudson is definatly up to something. Or at least knows something. Other wise he wouldnt be building a new fleet.

The Dark wheel on Shinrarta exist from 3300, and the children of Raxxla i faction is a player base faction created in 3301

OK! I stand corrected. Not sure why I thought they were recent. Maybe I got them confused with something else...

I certainly hope that the newsletter/Galnet provides some new bones to chew on, substantial, the vagueness is wearing a little thin. I love a good mystery as much as anyone but the crumbs need to be a little bigger than atom size, and I fully expect the Rift mystery should be solvable/findable by anyone who plays the game and not gated to a specific group.

It will not be locked to a specified group. The Children of Raxxla got the ticket this evening by virtue of them being the minor faction that specifically invited Salomé to be their leader. You will still require some patience, but the story unfolds.

Cheers,

Drew.

I am indeed, and looking forward to it.

Much obliged, looking forward to it as well! definitely have the patience just really looking forward to some new meat as the story unfolds. I am pretty sure I have core of the problem solved and depends on who goes looking solved, and where to look riftwise but frankly I am stumped on the etymology of Kahina part as I do believe this pertains to the sector name we should be looking at, but I am stumped on this one, all roads lead back to madness....for now..

Would have been very surprised if CoR would have anything to do with the Rift discovery... That would lock it to a group, and like Drew said, that's not going to happen.

Hmmm... ROC = EBP per the ROT 13 Cypher. Which Drew then stated our training was complete to help figure out the clues. EBP/ROC were assumed to be the coordinates/location to help us find 'IT'. Could BP have equaled Beagle Point? But then what could the E be?

I disregarded the DWE/Salome link until it became known she was on the trip, and finally the announcement and special appearance and cryptic messages today.

There was obviously a connection between DWE and the RIFT and Drew's 'IT'. Or maybe I'm just crazy... 2 threads of posts that are mushing all together.

Has it been pointed out that RO,C (right on, commander) and CoR (children of Raxxla) are the same letters, in reverse?
Also, it is remarkably similar to the word Core (the ahem core of the problem).

Just like Dog and God. And about as meaningful a connection to the mystery of the Rift.
