Agreed - the use of the accented 'é' is no mistake... also worth pointing out, that Oscar Wilde is responsible for connecting Salomé with the dance of the seven veils. The Salome from the bible danced for Herod, but the 'seven veils' mythology wasn't anything to do with it

Wilde's play doesn't actually connect the dance to mythology either. It simply says that she 'dances the dance of the seven veils' but gives no description of what that dance actually is.

Just some thoughts...

The veils are often described as mists or smoke, so does this indirectly describe 7 nebulae?
Are there seven nebulae connected to the body in the general direction of the rift?.... Heart, monkey Head...?...
Once those seven are discarded, are we just left with the Soul?..............

There is alot of things in the rift. In fact it would be nice to specify that in the new thread, or put my pie chart on it, which will summarize the situation much better than an endless text.

I am crap at codes and can prove it. When people started listening to the UA for codes I rotated the sound 90 degrees to search for code in the variation in the harmonics of each bleep and didn't find morse or anything else recognizable to me anyway instead of realizing it was morse in the plain old normal way.

Yesterday while lost in contemplation of Veiete and Prism and continuing on my now regular rift journeys to specials [wolf,bh,neutron,carbon] hit
jump and "cannot comply". Wasn't watching the gage, in fact so on autopilot I had even been absent-mindedly scooping brown dwarfs. Self destruct in secret shame and lose over 1000 recent scans or admit doufusocity and hit the RATSIGNAL. Self-interest and lack of compassion for my fellow human beings took over and hit the ratsignal.

Cmdr Dystopia of the Fuel Rats answered the call. I was only in the nether east reaches of the Rift a mere 2 1/2 kylies from Heisenberg not out of the way from the bubble at all just a pitiful 13 kylies from Sol. He estimated only 10 hours of continuous flying, "no worries". Who of us doesn't fly strapped to our chair with an IV drip dinner, catheter and nasa man-diapers. 10 turned to 12 turned to 16 to some larger number. I wondered if I should have mentioned the fun of the Formidine, but Fuel Rats are professionals and with his pluck and moxie tone I decided it would be too patronizing like telling a plumber the thing in his hand is a wrench, right?

That's Something I've been thinking about for a while. Without fresh clues we seem to keep coming up empty. Until then, to quote Hamlet, "The play's the thing to uncover the conscience of the king." The king here is Drew and to follow his line of thinking means allowing the story to unfold.

As a narrative our job not need only be as spectators. We aren't mere audience members. We are actors in the stage. We don't have the script in hand so we must react to what Drew, the playwrite, presents us with.

Right now the only players who seem interested in playing a role in the narrative are CoR. We need some nice antagonists ... not folks showing up for PvP but dropping in for the sake of the narrative to exchange words and fire a few warning shots. People who are 'on-paper' opposing CoR while behind the scenes actually just as interested in solving the mystery itself. Allies in unraveling the Rift but enemies for the sake of the narrative.

Ah well! I guess the thing to do is wait for Drew and Frontier. Maybe they already have out antagonists waiting off stage to make their introduction and any attempt by us to play the narrative would be more hindrance than help.

Something that had to be put there by FDev when they gave Drew the license to write a story. Now, do I think that it is a fleet of buckyball ships? No.

My own thought (and if I wasn't in an alcove of a restaurant with my phone hiding my forum browsing from my lovely bride, I'd try to see if it worked out) was to draw a RR line then take a like from *Sag A (a CORE system if any) and see if there is a system that matches up. Alas, I am stil at the very least 4 hours away from getting home and "checking my mail".

The idea of drawing a line from SgrA* to the R/R line has been suggested by several of us (me included). The problem is that there are an infinite number of lines that would intersect the R/R line. You could draw a line from SgrA* to Reorte, Reidquat, or any other point along the R/R. You would need another reference point telling you where such a line would intersect.
