I have searched the forum, but have been unable to find any information regarding the decoding of the final part of the message "Good luck, and … right on, Commander."
.
The old woman said " You’ll find the co-ordinates at the end of this message."
.
Question is what part of the text relates to the co-ordinates? IMO only part of the text " Good luck, and … right on, Commander." needs decoding to numeric values for the co-ordinates. I think that the part of the text that relates to the co-ordinates is " Good luck", which might give us the X,Y co-ordinates (maybe using the alphabet, or ASCII numeric values), and the "and ..." the missing Z co=ordinate. :S
The Old Lady is speaking the words "Good luck, and ... right on, Commander" but after the video ends were told that this is how the holofac finished, "The holofac faded, leaving them with just the text."
The message was in the form of a video. It wasn't text. It was a video of the old lady speaking. The simplest explanation is that the coordinates are the text that faded out at the end of the message meaning that we don't have that info.
The game was still in development when this was written. I doubt exact coordinates would have been possible but a rough R/R line would have been.
I don't think anyone will tease coordinates from the old lady's last sentence. I don't think they contain anything beyond the surface level meaning.
