The FSS is like a lingering fart left in an elevator when you have 46 floors to go, you tolerate it to get to your destination but by heck it stinks.

I’m starting to realise the FSS really is like Marmite. Or maybe it’s just vocal minorities posting the love and the hate for it.

I wasn't too sure about the FSS when it first appeared but with all the bindings set optimally (for me) on my T1600M FCS Hotas I find it quick and easy to use.

Just breathe the fart away during the first six floors and you'll have clean ai the remaining forty. Done. Nothing to complain about, just deal with it.

FSS, it's not fun for many. But the devs have stated that it is here to stay. Sorry many of the features in ED can't be fun because erm; Reasons. Heh.
Hands tied.

Oddly enough, whether you like it or hate it, doesn't the fact that it keeps coming up say something about the lack of appreciation about what it might do to the player base? Which might have been possibly avoided if it hadn't been designed and built as a fait-accomplait, and ooh, I don't know, maybe the promised focussed-feedback forum on exploration had actually been held?

No matter what FDev did there would have been complaints. Its only the same people moaning about it. At least Keneth isn't asking for the ADS back. He just wants the FSS to be made better (from what I can gather), which anyone should want.

Now what is better though is purely subjective. Someone elses better could be someone elses nightmare.

Not sure why they get so wound up about it - it's not like it's a big issue like the Dolphin overheating when manoeuvring near planets - I could understand them getting irate about that ...
Stop being ambivalent about things I don't like!
Improvements we can probably all agree on:

The option to use it on the move
Less intrusive warning messages
The frequency slider staying where you left it (when not assigned to an axis)
Fixed bugs
Frequency bar on the HUD
Reduced geological scan times
And what thingy said about a filter for USSs.

Yup. Most of those aren't core so they could do them. Using while on the move is probably easy to implement but most likely virtually impossible to use unless they do massive changes to how it works, which I don't think will happen.
