I had the same effect too, no warning in the mission description and killed instantly after the scan. And I read the description carefully.

I had assumed it was an issue at my end as I've just upgraded from 2*GTX 960's in SLI to a 1080, and coincidentally I didn't play 2.2 with the 960's so didn't see any micro stutters, although they are hardly micro, it can freeze for a full second occasionally, and when you're in the slot it's slightly disconcerting.

FDev, please remove the 30km restriction between fighter and mothership, thats just unnecessary and REALLY annoying.
Im trying to find fumaroles on a planetside and because fighter is fast, im doing it with that. But every one minute i have to stop for two minutes for that slow AI to catch up in my Anaconda.

Cmon.. remove that pls.

Raise a bug and log your dx-data in the report.

ED has been smooth for me* for a while now, and 2.2 has had no effect.

* Modest i5 and 2Gb GTX 770 set up

All I know is 2.1, was smooth as butter, 2.2.01 is like a butternut snap, rough as.

I would like FD to at least give us something, what the prob. is or how long it will take to fix it.

Like most people, I thought there was an issue with my system, till I found hundreds of posts outlining the exact same prob. as me.

So the ball is in your court FD, dont let us down
