More maneuverability. The slow turning sea like ships are ok, but I'd really like to see an agile fighter type space craft like the BSG viper. There should be smaller ships that are really hard to hit.

Ability to fit weapons greatly reduced due to the vessel size, and hull would be comparable to a modern fighter jet, which is easily destroyed by direct impact from any missile I have ever heard of... In other words, harder to hit but easily destroyed once a hit strikes.

It's a ship that relies on a pilot's skill... and surprise when operating alone.

In numbers it will be deadly.

The problem would be that 90% of the time you probably will be flying alone and therefore not live very long.

True, I hadn't considered this re-imagining of it and was thinking more of the version from FE2/FFE. As you say, this could well be a more combat orientated craft and therefore be much more dangerous than the venerable Cobra Mk.III, which after all is a trading craft.

It's a little hard to say what the Cobra is supposed to be. It's all things to all men... as it had to be because originally you couldn't change ships.

You're thinking of the Condor. The Eagle is a big, hefty ship. Comparable with the Cobra mk 3 really.
