Gallipolis Solo Expedition

7kly from Sol

I am skirting the Lin-Shu hollow, finding high altitude paths are fewer and dipping down towards the plane. There is a spectacular nebula up ahead, but I will be passing it by.

The Galactic core is becoming bright. It reflects of the dust in the plane below me. Still waiting for a fix for the navigation issue, but so far I have only had to avoid one neutron star.

I've been to the edge of the Galaxy at many points, but this is the blackest view I've ever seen into the void of Inter-Galactic space.
This was taken yesterday, at the bottom of the Galaxy. More or less below the bubble. During exploration for the COR Community Goal.

From the same place, but looking back into the Galaxy.

Gallipolis Solo Expedition

I am about half way to my target. I reckon it will take me another 16 hours of jumping to get to the Gallipolis. I could not help stopping along the way for this though:

My first untagged earth-like.

Stopping for a bit of a rest. There is so much out there to distract me from getting to my destination. Must concentrate…

After having to turn back to the Bubble with a crippled Cobra, I decided to change things up a bit. Got myself a DBX and engineered it to have a 44LY jump range. Hopefully I'll be back to where I was, or at least as far out as I was, before too long!

I've got to say, the military green looks awesome on this ship!

Icy moon just moving behind its parent gas giant...

... it was quite an interesting sight.

Got some funky blue lasers too. Ain't gonna let the Thargoids (or whatever is lurking around at the moment) mess with me :p Though I suspect that 2 medium burst lasers on their own won't really be a match for these scary alien ships if I happen to encounter anything...

Excited I finally found some geysers. Ice moon, in a deep canyon...tons of them everywhere and lots of mats.

Something interesting, the water geysers occasionally shift to steam jets.....I thought, what would happen if I drive over one of those steam shots?

Attempt at getting as much in the shot as possible.

Eye balled this steam jet for some fun.....lets see how high it will shoot me. The specs on the moon: Pru Aescs UO-V b30-7 A 5 b; .0004 Earth Mass, 634km radius, .04G
