I really like a good sense of humour, it makes playing the forum such fun!
It must be very difficult to not fully understand the game rules, and very frustrating that others do, very well, other players are entirely optional, whatever activity one chooses to interact with in the game, and, being brutally blunt, not having the majority of other players in the game does make it much more enjoyable for me, and me, and my friends, are the only ones I am interested in playing with.
the first time i launched the game i had no idea how the game is and i was surprised by how unfair that menu looked
you have very high risk on the left compared to very low risk on the right so i was looking up online if they both get the same content
Exactly its all about fun, if those really itching for PvP need a fix my 11 year old son and his mates are waiting in Fortnite.

No, there is not very high risk on the left, far from it (having spent around 95% of my 8000 hours play in open over the last 7 years or so...) Most of the time the game can be played in open with the same risk as solo, essentially zero...
It is only the adult children in Engineer systems (Deciat, really, how scary those folk heading for their first engineer must be!) and CG systems that present a risk to the unprepared, or foolish...
I just don't have any wish to interact with random characters who may wish to waste my time for their enjoyment, it is my recreation and I am permitted by the game rules to choose not to engage with anyone if I so wish.
Guess what I choose mostly these days? I have very low tolerence in comparison to when I first started playing - and, again, being blunt, this topic is a perfect illustration why being choosy makes sense, it remove those irritants completely, and permits playing however I wish.

i have did do PVP in powerplay and it was fun
i saw them , fought them , they switched to solo and eneded up doing the same thing i'm trying to prevent them from doing ( if only solo didn't exist huh )
i'm doing the CG right now and i got ganked by a wing of 3 doing a CZ
i have found so many people doing PP they're organized and they have an oral agreement of open only for powerplay
i like to be surprised that's why i play in open only it has more surpises as i explained earlier
aaaand it's still unfair but i guess i wanted to try the game anyways in case i'm missing the caveat , oh naive me

you can't meet other commanders in solo : chance = 0%
you can meet other commanders in open : chance >0%
you're free to opt out of engaging with these characters but you also opt out of the rewards , we can't have it all can we now ?
you can play hower you wish if you want but not in other people's world and that's what i'm pushing for cause guess what other people's world have other people in it and they consider your actions in their world an irritant how do you suggest they remove that irritant ? your actions still count unfortunateley even if you're in solo or blocked
games change if the fans want it to , this is the whole point of this post explaining the reasoning in hopes of changing the game and i'm not the only one pushing for it , try scrolling up
Well in fact, we can. That's the core desgn of the game.
You're overestimating your influence. Games change when the developer decides to do. And so far, after almost eleven years, Frontier isn't touching open only in any way, shape or form with a ten foot pole.

This is the new argument for Open Only, and in a way more honest than all the nonsenses about risk and "reasons" and whatnot.
