In honor of CMDR Labrunning, I'm visiting a very "reclusive" part of the galaxy, the Monkey Head Nebula. I've yet to see anything resembling a monkey's head, but the long journey was well worth it because I did find my first landable ringed planet! These are the days I envy people with VR rigs :)

I found a great little spot to tent under the stars for the evening. I'm curious how this amazing view will change as the moon and planets make their course.

As an original Elite player I just had to make a pilgrimage to Lave, so while I was there scanning the tourist beacons I thought I'd pay a visit to Lave Radio's wee orange Sidey and wave at them through the cockpit window...

Minecraft is still popular in 3303, so much so that someone has gone and remade the Crab Nebula out of blocks:

Frontier Help thinks I need to update the drivers for my graphics card [haha]

Apart from going to the Pleiades twice for a CG, I hadn't really gone out of the Bubble yet. To get a taste for exploration, I decided to take a small trip in the direct neighborhood of the Bubble, in order to get back quickly in case of an emergency. Turns out that you don't need to go that far out at all to get some impressive sceneries.
I went from Kaushpoos --> New Yembo --> IC 4604 Nebula --> Coalsack Nebula --> back to the bubble.

The IC 4604 Nebula was the highlight of my trip. Very nice scenery and only about 500Ly from the Bubble:
