The "Roadmap" is a JOKE!

Today Frontier has released a "Roadmap" which states basically: "We`ll bugfix Odyssey till the end of June and then will start developing it for the consoles" plus, some PR stuff about communication... And that`s it. So, one thought here: Tell me something I didn`t know! For sure FDev are going to fix bugs and release more monthly Dev-diaries - its obvious without any "Roadmaps". Nobody cares about that part!

The real community troubling questions that are not even close to be answered by Frontier are:

When are we going to meet Thargoids and Guardians on foot?

When are we going to see current meaningless grind rebalanced?

When are we going to get new SRVs?

When are we going to see new variants of Station Concourses?

When are walkable ramps coming? (Not even dare to mention ship interiors!)

What is the future of Elite after lackluster Odyssey (BETA) launch?

Silence on all of this topics apparently...

Ha ha.

Do we really need a roadmap on the highway to hell?

If they deliver everything they said plus improve performance and fix bugs, I'm OK with that. Sure, it'd be lovely to have new content but honestly... You'd have to be naive to the extreme to have thought we'd get anything like that before August... the months between launch and console launch were no obviously not going to be for more stuff...

The main thing for me is the shared missions bit. If we can enjoy everything we have now properly with a team then that's enough until after console launch. But as I said... roadmap would not satiate many people. It'll just anger more who had unrealistic expectations to start with.

So... told you so.

I expected a lot of things, but not a complaint about things not being delivered that haven't been promised in the first place... Oo

I'd like to see all of those things too, but...

Maybe get the actual game running first before we add new broken features?
considering that computers are built with thousands of different parts, i find it unlikely that the game will run smooth on all computers of all PC platform players, so they better give new stuff than fix old stuff, this concert never saw finish, there will always be someone playing on a pentium III cartridge finding new bugs.

Yeah, truth be told very few of the listed by OP items truly interest me. :-/. Walkable ramps? Thargoids and Guardians on foot? Pfft.

Agree, but with Odyssey launch with all those cut corners and VERY questionable design decisions I can`t stop wondering, WHERE is Elite: Dangerous going as a game? Will it be just more grind and slowly dripping narrative that leads to nowhere, or will it start leaning to a stronger story and simulation heavy game with deeper gameplay?

Roadmap should have communicated FDevs vision about Elites future. It didn`t.

I keep telling people not to have expectations when it comes to Frontier and Elite Dangerous ....
Thank you David, I look forward to this road-map.

TO THE COMMUNITY: Do not expect the road-map to say anything more than the immediate fixes for Odyssey.

I had no doubt you were not expecting anything more than the obvious ... but you know what this community is like, they'll expect a full 10-year-plan road-map and rage when David (or a CM) only talks about immediate fixes for Odyssey
It seems people do not listen.

I was disappointed with the roadmap myself, but who's sane enough to demand and expect new content at this point? You want more things added to the game? Are you not aware of what's going on? You want them to break the game more?
