2. Many of the toggle switches on the Thrustmaster Warthog cannot be bound properly without using another layer of software (ie. TARGET) because they are multiposition/toggle switches. Can we get some better support for this joystick model as many people seem to be using it? It sure would be nice not to have to flip the toggle switches down-then-up just to get the landing gear to deploy. There is already support for some of the bindings, why not add it for the rest? And speaking of bindings, that screen is l - o - n - g... can you break it up into sections so less scrolling is required?
OK, hopefully I'm just overlooking a kind binding or something because if this is not possible then the item in Q1 is a huge oversight IMO.
1. When I plot a route in the galaxy map, but during the trip I decide to lock on a star (to get exploration credits) or ship (good/bad), is there a way to resume the route without having to go back into the galaxy map and re-plotting the course again? That's what I've been doing and gets old VERY quickly after doing it a few times.
Thanks so much for the fun game and all the best in 2015! I'm looking forward to some wormholes and possible alien contact.![]()
Target is awesome, it is a great tool and I cannot understand why you wouldn't want to use it.
Using Target gives me the ability to adjust the curve of my rudder pedal axis. I can easily match the stations rotation. Landing is easier.
With Target I can assign the same, or similar functions to the same buttons/axis with every game. Muscle memory becomes a factor and you'll learn new games faster.
I've read that some people even use the defaults set up by the game developers. As if a game developer could setup a control scheme better than I can.
On your navigation screen, (left side), just scroll down to the system with a few points connected with lines next to the name. That's the next system in your plotted course. you can scan a whole system, dock at a station and then click on this system and resume your course as if you hadn't done anything.![]()
