The Route planner discussion thread

Except you missplelled "rares" in the thread title...

As for rares, they vary in cost quite a bit. Some go for over 1.6k/t others for as low as 200+/t. Search for the rares thread to see which are where and how much they cost.

 So I did..... That'll be predictive text for you!

Thanks for the reply, I'll do a search for the thread and have a look.

Trade Route Profit and Loss

How are you all making out compared to me and also to help some newer peeps to give them some idea of what they should be making per round trip on a trade route. Oh and you don't have to give trade route specifics just the hard numbers. Thanks

Current trade route:

Distance: 38 ly
Number of jumps each way: 3
Round trip time-frame: 12 min 30 secs on avg
Trade: Gold and slaves
Profit round trip: 2706

Net profit per hour: 12988.8 per ton / per hour

*time-frame is all inclusive from start to finish in the sales cycle including the transfer of commodity not just from station to station

Distance: 19,6ly
number of jumps 1 with lakon 6, or asp

round trip time: Under 10min
trade: Beryllium and performance enhancers

profits round trip around 2300
net profit per hour: Around 1,2-1,3 million

That's really good Bebob a little more than me at 13800 per ton per hour in my Asp at 128 tons that would net 1,711,200 per hour makes the grind down to the next ship significantly shorter

Found a route that's 2,200 round trip, but is only 12 LY from each other, so I can do the whole trip in about 10 min.. that's about 2.5m/hr in my type 7 with my expenses if i concentrate..

2 stations in the same system. 500LS apart. 104T = ~110K per trip. Takes about 4-5 minute per trip (one way). So ~110K/5min.

I did it til' i puked from going back and forth, back and forth, back and... :D But made money the fastest i ever done in ED. Might just be average to you avid traders, but m a b-hunter at heart and i welcomed the extra dough big time. :)

Umm one 7.5 LY jump. Trading 500 tons of Bertrandite + Gallite one way, Beryllium + gold on the way back. Both stations are within 13 Ls of their stars.

Comes out to around 5.5 - 6 million an hour depending on whether I check the bulletin board or not.

Yeah bigger impact, that said chubby, if youre in a quite system on the edge of space youll be affecting system and staion upgrades on the background simulator to

Do you have a load of cargo? Or perhaps a module with a lot of mass that can be traded for a better module with less mass? 7LY is not very much... with that jump capability, you will have a lot of problems traveling through space.

Switch your modules to grade D, which can reduce your ship's mass by several tons and increase your jump range by a couple LY. Then upgrade your FSD to C or B if that doesn't do it.

I'm also sometimes getting a message saying "Jump exceeds the maximum fuel usage of 2 tons" and I don't know what that's about. Fuel tank is 16 tons total, and is almost full, so I have no clue why that message appears and my jump is canceled.

Are you selecting your destination but not plotting a route?
You may need to take multi-jumps to reach the destination, not jump to the destination in 1.

So what your saying is the further away we go the more money we should be able to make per ton? I am just wondering about how far away from the start zone are you?
