It's part of how these people function. Far wing politicians like fascists, communists, and left or right populists, will always assume that the mainstream / general consensus view is wrong. They always interpret the information to be false and deliberately planted by their preferred enemy. The enemy will vary, but is usually some form of elite (economical, academical, political, ethnic or religious) that has malicious long term plans.

There was a bit of international news on US tv today, despite the America centric viewpoint, it did contain some info on how places are doing round the world. We were not included, nor were the other little islands I'd posted. So suffice it to say, there are probably a LOAD of success stories out there.
That should give us all a bit of hope in these times. The real number is way bigger than 32. Unfortunately, the travel lockdown has us all stuck where we happen to be, so people cannot migrate to safety, but knowing where safety may lie is a start.
I'd happily host some folks from dangerous locales, if I could, once they pass quarantine and testing.

In regards to Hydroxychloroquine : I have heard/seen information along the lines of it would have the potential to help get Zinc INTO cells, which in sufficient levels would effectively block Virus replication. One Person claimed that most of the Studies having been performed on the efficacy of HCQ in treating SARS - CoV -2/CoViD -19 were done without supplementing Zinc ( the person said "as if they WANTED the studies to fail" ) . Is that what you are referring to ? I am really an Idiot on all these things ( Virology, medicine, biochemics )...but would be very interested if you could provide more information on this . Especially of any "unwanted" effects higher lvls of Zinc inside the cell(s) might bring ( I understand usually, Zinc is not present in high lvls inside cells, because it is not easy for it to get in there ) .
Generally, it should come as ZERO surprise to anyone being mindfull of one's health that sufficient levels of Vitamin D, C, Zink, Selen and some other Vitamins/micronutrients are extremely beneficial to the immune system, if I understand correctly especially when it comes to innate immunity . This is not "Boah REALLY???" science that just now surfaces in the wake of SARS-CoV -2 . I posted one of the following a little while ago, reposting and some more in the hope it will be of benefit :
