With PvP players heading to CQC, Open is going to look rather lonely.
Or the interactions we have with PvP players are a higher % of griefers.

I still don't get why I have to suffer 2 to 7 interdictions every 2nd system I want to dock in order to reach a 400 Ls station just because the galaxy is not "alive enough" for the players who CHOSE to stay away from the alive population though. This is getting seriously ridiculous and extremely ironic.
Player:"I don't want to have my trade routes interrupted from player pirates, I'll go to solo"
A few months later:
Player:"FD, PLEASE, THE GALAXY IS NOT ALIVE ENOUGH"
FD: "OK, what can we do about it?"
Player: "Have NPCs pirating me follow me through wakes, I want to be pirated properly. It shouldn't be that easy to evade my interdictors."
A bit ludicrous and even though I wouldn't mind normally, I don't enjoy being at the receiving end of these changes who stem from exactly this thought process.
It is just another form of griefing, if you cannot get to them to grief them, then demand the NPCs become harder to do it for you - and to some extent it worked, as FD started making the NPCs harder.
It comes, at least in part, from the belief some Open proponents hold that the only reason players have to play in Solo is to have an easier time. In their minds, make Solo as hard as Open and all players will pop into Open.
I look at it and realize there are many sick, masochistic, players in this game...it makes me happy to know there are kindred spirits within the game!
I just trade to attempt to reach elite trader, which has become an obsession. I really mean an obsession. I'm not even sure if its a healthy obsession.
I am a Ghost and I am in the machine.
If anyone needs an example of why people play in open without looking for PvP just look at the Hutton mug CG.
You were there Roy - you were there.
Although you like totally ignored me!
If you exclude all the deliberate ramming.
My pleasure: cowardly, cheating, filthy, casual, ignorant, risk-averse, mode-switching, misanthropic, Solo players!
LOL! You missed the second half of the statement! It is nice to know I am not alone in my love of self inflicted pain...
I am currently running two group members out there to help them out! And the truly masochistic part? I have not dropped anything off myself![/QUOTE
Actually I see I misread your comment now.
You still ignored me though.... (at Hutton)
