I'll ask you what I asked Cryon: What is it exactly that you want Frontier to do?
Hard to say, ideally I'd like 2 different galaxies, but since that won't ever happen, I'll just keep it to what's possible.
Basically what I'd be happy with is a balance pass on open play, especially when it comes to community goals and power play.
More points/merits for stealing cargo from or killing players. PP needs better balance anyway, 15 merits for killing a target in sc, but only 1 for doing it in a war zone? 1 merit per ton of stolen cargo? It's pretty time consuming to take cargo.
Higher bounties for murder and assault, maybe 2x or 3x as much as they are now. That might make pvp bounty hunting more profitable. I'd also like to see a better crime system.
Piracy needs a lot of work done on it. Limpets are terrible, shooting out the drives, isn't that helpful, killing someone is too easy while stealing a decent amount of cargo is tougher. It should be the other way around imo. Non lethal piracy should be easier than just flat out killing.
Maybe lower insurance when killed by a player, 50% sounds good. Not too high and might convince a few people who are hesitant to play in open. Possibly buyable cargo insurance, it has to be done well. Traders should still fear death, but perhaps it shouldn't be such a set back.
I'd also like to see more pvp/player driven content. Player assassination missions for pirates who reach a certain bounty level would be nice. Open only cargo delivery missions, there's plenty of things we can get here.
Possibly npcs that respond to player driven conditions. For example, if a lot of patraus players are in toval system, then a higher than normal level of patraus npcs spawn in that system. If a lot of wanted random faction players are in a system, pirate npcs spawn at an increased rate. I'm not asking for an insanely increased rate, just something to make it noticeable.
That's all I can think of for now.

It's just the PvP players who object to the other ways of playing as they don't have as many target to shoot
ah yes, another solo player thinking that everything is only about rounding up the solo players for an open slaughter. I know it's hard to believe but not everyone subscribes to cmdr pew pews guide to killing carebears. It's possible to think about things besides killing players.
