Fair point, but as a general rule blockaders are in a group coordinating together, the runners are not. They are just single players, doing their own thing. That's bad planning as well.![]()
I can absolutely guarantee you 100% that the top 5% contributors were in solo, why, if their game isn't affected?
We need a test of sorts. Pick a system, a few of us will dock our Cobras there in Open. Just try to stop us. Would that suffice as a test?

Not unless we have numbers 1/7th of the numbers of PP, on both sides.Over 24 hours? A CG usually goes on longer than that, a PP cycle is a week. One day seems fair.
There's also thousands of people running the blockade and maybe a hundred or 2 preventing it. Without cooperation, the blockade doesnt stand a chance.Because that's all about balance and fairness. When you put it like that I don't know why people are so against the idea.![]()

And what is the end goal for the runners? To get through once? What if they get caught, do they get to try again? 6 hours is also too long to wait for 4-5 specific players and noone else.Hmm... how about this for a standardized test?
1. We all agree upon a system and a station.
2. The blockade runners simply have to take a screenshot of where they are, anywhere in the universe, after 12 Noon next Saturday (BST).
3. Take a second screenshot from inside the blockaded station before 6PM next Saturday.
The time and date (albeit from 3301) are on the station screen.
This stacks things very heavily in favour of the blockaders. If they can't stop people getting through in that small window, when they've had advanced notice to get organized, and knowing in advance who will be coming, this is a non-argument. It also sounds like it could be good fun.

As an aside, has anyone ever tried to organise an "open without the lamers and station griefers" group, like the M word but with pew pew? Surely there must be thousands of traders out there wanting to participate in safe, consensual, sane pvp?...
Hard to say, even 2 hours is still asking players to wait around in supercruise doing nothing until a player, maybe shows up.How many times would suffice?
6 hours is a bit long though I have to say. 3 or 2 hours?
You're on! (keeping it as a friendly challenge of course).
I'll sign up for running the Blockade. Anyone else?
<pokes head out of cupboard> Did someone mention points? Don't points mean prizes? Cookies, perchance?
How about treating it as game with 10 min "rounds" the runners try to get to station x, they get one chance. if they are interdicted, they're out and the blockaders get a point. If they get to the station, the runner get a point. Best out of 3 or 5 rounds.

If I am going to be a "runner" I would want to be in a wing, I think you mentioned its more efficient trying to block in pairs, it will be interesting to see how it works out with the runners being coordinated, if enough people are interested to make a worthwhile test I am in.
