Have you ever try to do the community goals in solo? how you know is that easy?

Why yes. Its very easy. I have a group testing the mechanics of the dueling community goals in Lugh. I pesonally tested combat bond rate difference between solo and open to see which one we could do more efficiently. I made 7-9 times more in solo than in open, depending on which test iteration we are talking about.

As a result of the experiment we split our two open wings into 8 groups of 1 to maximize our effect in the system Boring but we made a promise to the CSG guys so I was going to make sure our effort was worth something.

I have. I made top 15 percent at the Hartfield combat bond goal. Made a grand total of 30 mil over 6 days farming the NPC's around the capital ship. Putting in no more than a couple hours each session before moving on to another game.

It's easy - and it's why I have no issues letting those in Open get extra rewards for putting up with the hassles of open.

--- Edit ---

Now that I think about it, the grand total was actually closer to 36 million. 16 in combat bonds, 20 mil for being in the top 15 percent. All while not ever having to deal with another enemy player who would zero in on me because I have a hollow square.

So i'm not playing?
I'm not sure if i want something of what you are smoking...

Solo players are playing the environment... and they shouldn't be able to?
Take away the environment (and that includes the possibility to influence the galaxy) and there isn't any solo play left.

I clearly said "paying" not playing. The previous guy said that playing solo was such a burden as the solo players were paying for playing solo by missing out on the player interactions which I was pointing out they did not care about.

Thanks for the insults, but you absolutely misunderstood the point of my post.

(1) never said they shouldnt be able to play the enviroment
(2) never said you werent playing
(3) Not smoking anything
(4) Never said to take away the environment

you made 7 to 9 times more credits in solo than open with combat bonds?

in how many credits that translate?

My point exactly. o7

The even performed my test without the cap ship.

Didn't want to insult you.
Most of the time it looks like i want to it results from limited understanding of english language and it's rules. The quote would have been quite ok in germany, sorry.
another thing leading to this is one of the reasons i stay in solo: i don't do well with people.

1-4) So what do you propose? Limiting my contribution is no option.

Low 100,000's in open was common over and hour, especially considering the time it takes to wing up, avoid other players, losing combat bonds when dieing, and overlapping kills with your wingmen. Solo it was easy to hit around a mil and hour.

The number is even higher when you take the cap ship into consideration as this guy points out.

Yowza. Don't know if that's a good thing or bad -- STO's PvP was always kind of pants, especially with the Klingon faction (Full v. PvP) kerfuffle. Still, good on them for hanging in there.

I will be releasing the Merc of Mikunn Lugh thread tonight. It won't have any solutions and I admit changing open private and solo isnt an option, but I do want to bring attention to several problems. I'm not the game designer, but there are several things from Lugh that need to be addressed or at the very least known.

I think the solution lies in the way dueling combat community goals are done, not in changing solo or private.

what kind of ship you were using?

and how long did it take?

i hate to contribute to his argument... but truth is

i made almost 45Million in Bonds without ever visiting the Cap Ship.
i used a python.
i spent an insane amount of time on this, but still...

but even this doesn't work for me as an argument why my playtime should be worth less than someones playing in open.
it's their decision to play that way because they have benefits from it.

Let's hope that will be more constuctive than this one.

Vulture. Times varied, but you just normalize the combat bond amount to an hour by dividing total by number of hours spent.

I always go for power plant no matter the ship. Beam lasers do supreme module damage and at close range a vulture can shred an anaconda in no time for a high amount of combat bonds.

thats why i need to know how much time did require to get so many millions, if you tell me that i can get 36 million in 1 hour in war zones in solo mode and rushing to lugh actually and get my peace of the cake.

i dont have an anaconda but a cobra so maybe is less cr. income per hour but it doesnt matter ill get millions!!!

By the way i do the same i use 2 laser beams and aim for the power plant.

huh?
i was on federation side ;)

why? finacially a loss...
i could have made five times of that if i could bring myself to trading with the same effort ;)

well i just have a cobra and i want to train my fighting skills,

besides it would be a good test to see if it really is so easy to make that much credits and how much time it takes because seriously, i always have in every mmo i play people complain on how easy it is to make in game currency.

in this case if it really 1 player in solo/group mode can have such an impact

i want to see if that actually is true in this case

how much cr / hr can you make in a war zone?
