The thing is - every player has the freedom to do exactly that - if they choose to min/max in Solo / Private Groups then that's up to them, regardless of how frustrating it is to players who refuse to leave open.
That is not to say that it makes for a fulfilling multi-player gaming experience with players avoiding each other in different modes rather than trying to avoid each other in open play, just that if Frontier want to improve the dynamic in Open then they'll have to find a palatable way to entice players into open.
I know and I agree but for some reason solo/group players are dead against any "bonuses" for playing in open even though they scream out time and time again that they don't want interaction with other players and it doesn't affect them.
For open players this sucks though as they are the ones being forced in to game modes they don't want to play just to be able to compete in a meaningful way be that via cr or influence towards a goal.
Right now the current system isn't a case of "everyone has a choice and all choices are equal" it's a case of "if you want to be able to compete go to solo or group" which isn't fair or equal.

Thats the way you think it is, don't confuse opinions with Facts. You could be right, but since we lack the facts you could also be wrong.
And that really is something you need to accept, the possability of being wrong. I know I can be wrong, how about you?
I know I can be wrong but my experiences in pretty much every community goal in open proves otherwise. How many community goals have you done in open?
