I want them to force people into open if they want to be part of powerplay, it's at this moment too easy to get away with anything whilst doing anything other than PVP'ing.
No soloists should be able to influence anything in their own isolated bubble.. it's unfair and not fun for any serious player to have to beat an invisible threat.
Why?
The chances are that we'll never meet up in game even while both of us play in open. I have around 4-6 hours window when I can play during normal days. If you're east from my location, you might be just quitting your session or be in bed already when I get online. If you live west, you'll probably be at work when I start up, or not even been woken up yet.
So in general, just being in different timezone limits who you're seeing in game. For instance, I still haven't been interdicted by any code members while in their area. Probably because of this. (Code is the only group I know really and the idea behind it seems cool)
And after timezones, there's the limit who's in same instance with who. While I have no idea how instances work for reals, I would guess one has around 10 players max in it. Atleast I haven't seen big number of players in same instance yet.
So by that estimate (again, don't really know the instance mechanics) you get to play with around 2-3% of the players in game ever.. should we just block everyone else from affecting the galaxy because you can't shoot at them?
Or should we block you because not everyone can shoot at you? What if I want to shoot you while you're having dinner? Maybe I feel it's unfair that you're offline when I want to destroy your ship.
What is the difference that solo players can do or private group players, considering that you'll never even get to see most of the open players? Even wingmembers don't always see each other, judging by the posts on forums
Also, if anyone knows how the instances are limited and created in this game, I'd like to know
