STILL no gameplay.

STILL hoping for something amazing at the end :)

How much time is even left...if they have something to show it likely isn't much.

Just look at the comments, it becomes even sadder.

I don't understand how those people maintain their enthusiasm. I was pretty stoked about this game when I gave em some money for the starter kit. I joined a group, posted a bit on the forums...but I just can't handle all the marketing jargon and crap being shoved down my throat with nothing to show for it.

SELL SELL SELL

BUY BUY BUY !!!

Forget about the fact that we're in the 4th year of development and they still don't even have the basic design documents on some of the in-game mechanics.

:D

How does having 400 bones and over 40 facial features in your models make gameplay better?

Sure sounds nice and all, but stuff like that takes a lot of time and resources and doesn't at all guarantee good gameplay.
Priorities seem really weird.

It seems like obsessive behavior to put visuals over gameplay...since, you know, it is a video GAME. I sincerely hope CR knows he is supposed to be making a game and not a mini-series.

It seems very clear that CR is far more interested in making a movie than in making a game.

That is all he wants to talk about. Same as at Citizen Con.

There is no gameplay.

There is no game.

edit: Wow, now we're talking about hair animation! Gripping stuff! This is really going to save PC gaming ...

Priorities are upside down since day 1.
It's always been like that, but so far it's been proven useless to point that out.

Yeah, the same with the ships. They're selling ships with different roles and highly detailed modules, but to me it doesn't look like basic gameplay mechanics are there yet.
So instead of creating modules to work with the different gameplay mechanics they'll have to create mechanics that fit the modules.
Could work, but to me it doesn't seem like the logical way to create a game.

That is called "putting the cart before the horse."
