Hello Mr. Offner! We like welcome you as our new director of Star Citizen.

Well, you're one for quite a while now, but as usual for monetization reasons nobody told us before CitizenCon was over.

Following the Freelancer fiasco it is obvious, that the "crowdfunding", "no shareholders" and "no publisher" illusion had to fall apart at some point. :D

Interesting.

Could this be something as simple as deciding it would be a good idea to have a CLO on board as Ortwin might be a teensy bit conflicted over the lawsuit?

Oh, what fresh Hell is this?

So why is he needed now?

He runs a VC firm.

Wild speculation: He has access to money and a history of investing in tech, CIG hit him up, get cash in return for a seat on the board. This has not been made easily public to backers for... reasons.

Unlike Chris Roberts's solo efforts he has a pretty successful track record so this should all be fun!

[hehe]

yeah, there's another share transfer we've not seen yet.

Crobbler is bailing.

My personal opinion.....somebody has to keep the company going when CRoberts and family start to run. Thats going to be hard to explain.
That's called a golden parachute - made from backer money and "spite pledging". I would say, Citizen Con 2018 exclusively paid for that.
