(But hey, you've got moola for projects Vape, get VR if you haven't already and come join me for a few rounds :))

Yeah, I've got VR, but don't really like it. Gives me a headache and cant stand having the contraption on my head.

ED sure is impressive the first time in VR though.

Well, I got into a server, spawned my Lancer, got into the turret and waited for someone to fly the silly thing. Still sat there.

Chat is the usual mess, and it's just, well, an entirelly dull experience.

2 hours trying to work out how CI¬G managed to pork up simple HOTAS controls...and I still have a HOTAS throttle that works backwards, ships boosting uncontrollably when trying to press the interact key or accessing menus via mobiglas.

7 years to make a game with spaceships that won't allow you to fly with a HOTAS...have we regressed to Freelancer now?

I gave up, won't be back on until they fix this utter amateur hour flying with a mouse and keyboard nonsense...if I wanted to fly M/KB, I'd go play Eve.

There is an invert setting in the Controls (i think) section.

I also had some headaches with my Oculus CV1. Not sure if it will apply to you but in my case the hedaches usually come from strapping the device a bit too tight on my forehead. Try loosening it up a little. If you have the CV1 the best way I found to do it is to first place the back section of the device as far down back my head as possible then lower the front so the top strap (and the top of my head) is the one doing most of the holding work, instead of my forehead. And adjust the velcro positions on the sides and top as necessary so you feel it somewhat lose in the front.

Well, they basically say that they keep adding stuff because the community keep coming up with cool ideas.

So, its all the fault of the community for coming up with stuff that CR can't say no to. Certainly not CIGs fault that they can't lock the scope.

Yeah, in the past the Roberts bros have said the scope gets bigger because the fans keep on giving them money, it's like a family trait of not wanting to take any responsibility for things...

True. Besides that I had massive headaches in VR tied to wonky framerate. My stomach is made of lead and I dont mind 30-40 FPS (!) but apparently my head does. Didnt even realise that was the issue. Poor IPD settings can also cause headaches.

*Sigh... ok I can see you're one of those people who wont stop arguing until they think they've "won", congratulations have at it. But seeing as this is a SC discussion I would have thought that it would be a reasonable assumption we would be working on the basis that, for the purposes of this conversation, "digital assets" broadly pertain to SC (how foolish of me), what with the context of this being an established 10th iteration SC thread and all... Oh well

This is ultimately a Elite Dangerous forum. So winning is everything. Although you can't really 'win', just keep going until you get bored or so does the opponent. But in general yes winning is everything. I also have a Star Citizen account that I paid with real cash. I don't know who you are so won't continue with comment just on the of chance you are actually 'important' and come after me.

I tried last night 3.5 Live and it seems that works worst then PTU version or maybe CIG servers could not handle it because the"game"just snaps every time after 5-15 min of play....

Not a bad video, mimics his comment section pretty well

I think lots of people own both games, like myself, and really want them to succeed. I'm very interested in 2020 for Elite, and reinstall the game then. The April update looks promising, however, it doesn't add much for me, as I have billions of credits and the ship I want. But, I think its a step in the right direction.

That video was NPC's, no player had shown up.

The NPC's are always there, only occasionally does another player end up there.
Thanks, I kinda assumed a player wouldn't be so passive (as the other post also shows). Must be disconcerting if you get used to running around killing static NPCs and then a player turns up :)
