The Star Citizen Thread V10

Last night I did 3 mining runs, thanks to the free fly access to the Prospector. That is one great ship, actually. I had a blast. However, the payouts were crazy small. My first run was 680, next one was a whopping 800, and my final run was 560! My setup is pretty simple, as stated previously, I use dual thrustmaster 16000's and I put the mining laser throttle on the right stick slider. It worked like a champ. I did two runs to Yela and one to Delamar. Mining on the dark side of the moon was very relaxing. Now I just have to refine my technique and make 1.6 million credits in game to buy the prospector in game.

Or maybe Tippis could give me $150 to buy the Prospector out right :)

Well, I just saw OA's video on the Forbes Magazine article concerning Star Citizen. Several valid issues in a game that's got millions in the bank but still in Alpha when it was supposed to be released back in 2014. I believe I said this before, but it bears repeating: It's like a tribble; if you stop feeding it, they'll stop reproducing. If you stop giving it money through kick starter, they'll realize that the only way they'll still be able to keep paying the bills is to move it to Beta, clear out the bugs they still have, then release it for sale (to actually MAKE money).

I built this current PC to play SC.
I'd still like to do so.
I'm 67, so I'd like to play it before I die of old age.

Meanwhile, every other game out there "Yeah, well, we added both male and female models at the same time, it was fairly straightforward."
To be honest, quite a few studios have used the "it's too much like hard work" excuse for not having women in , ARMA for one, and loads of the millions of early access survival games....Ubisoft also took some abuse for saying it and seem to have taken the critcism on board since.

So, only 2300 more runs to go before you can achieve a relatively cheap ship.

Gosh, so glad SC isn't a mindless grind like some other games :D

So, despite apparently being rich enough to buy the mansion decades ago, he instead rented until after the investment by Calder. Nope, nothing to see here, pure coincidence!

He was selling cars or something, doubt he was rich. There is an audio somewhere on the net of Sandi saying to him: "If it (Star Citizen) doesn't work you could still go back to selling cars".

I’ve been playing on and off since 3.5 came out and I’m already at 200K. I really think making 1.6M will not be that hard.

Besides, that was just mining anything, first rock I scanned. I don’t know what will happen when I really get into it. Or maybe the payouts just suck. I don’t have the foggiest idea yet. I posted on Spectrum and got some tips, so I will see how they work out.

Well, maybe you can do it... before the next server wipe :D

I have no idea why they don't just let people buy whatever they want cheaply while the game is still in alpha.... oh, silly me, of course i know why. JPG sales would tank.

Do you have a source for that?

He was running a car rental operation out of an airport or something.

Bootcha (sunk cost galaxy) confirmed it as he used to have CR's private mobile number which matched that of the one listed to the owner of the company, a certain Chris Roberts.

I'm wondering if after the Forbes publication, some of the "stars" like Hamill, Oldman, etc.. still want to be associated with Chris Roberts/CIG or not.
