Same, we've gotten a bunch of rain these last 2 weeks. Hopefully no hurricanes (hurricanes are a mixed blessing. Terrible damage to property and lost lives, but at the end they clean up the air quality and we get snow everytime there's a hurricane).
Those sea lions are living the sea lion dream.
Anyways my favorite water bird. I'm a fan of flamingos, spoonbills, and ibises. But, I'd have to go with herons. I see them all the time, including the great blue. Once, we had a heron in our front yard. It got disoriented after a storm and landed on our porch. Some people came and took it away, but it's been burned in my memory for many years
this would be such a awesome Pack with multiple Species that I really want
If the word Perfection would be a pack:
American Flamingo and Roseate Flamingo for sure!
I think Cormorants are my Favorite. They are pretty cool

Ducks are terrifying. I respect them for that.
Shoebill stands out for being creepy, not appealing for me in the slightest

Have you ever heard the haunting calls of the whip-poor-will or the loon? These birds don’t look scary but they have a fascinating call. And geese. They are the devil spawn.
And also curassows. One tried to attack me once. In a walkthrough exhibit.
And there some birds called teros (lapwing i think is the name in english) and they are very protective of their chicks. If you even dare to pass by when a chick is around they will fly right down to you screaming and chase you.

The shrike's habit of impaling its prey on thorns as a macabre mating display is both metal as hell, and incredibly creepy
