Same, we've gotten a bunch of rain these last 2 weeks. Hopefully no hurricanes (hurricanes are a mixed blessing. Terrible damage to property and lost lives, but at the end they clean up the air quality and we get snow everytime there's a hurricane).Hey all! List has been updated! Keep the replacement votes for the kiwi and little blue penguin coming!
Well in my neck of the woods in New York, we had severe flash flooding so let's just say the sea lions at the Central Park Zoo got a surprise exhibit expansion:

Anyway, this got me thinking, weekly community poll, what are your favorite water birds? Sea, marsh, wading, whatever you like. BUT, since I feel they'll dominate the replies, no penguins or my beloved waterfowl.

I instantly tought of the Great Potoo. Look at that thing in the middle of a long night and I'll ensure you a full week of nightmaresHey all, no updates this week. Just a reminder, you can swap out the Kiwi and Little Blue Penguin in your votes for new birds if you wish.
Weekly community poll! Considering it's spooky season, what are some birds you consider to be spooky?!
I know there's the classic Halloween associated birds like vultures, owls, and crows. But something about the harpy eagle give me the heebie jeebies.

Have you ever heard the haunting calls of the whip-poor-will or the loon? These birds don’t look scary but they have a fascinating call. Also the barn owl may have inspired the MothMan, so that’s certainly spooky!Hey all, no updates this week. Well, guess I'm making a new alien species for my storiesThe shrike's habit of impaling its prey on thorns as a macabre mating display is both metal as hell, and incredibly creepy
