Thanks Jake but I own the frontier version of EDH, I had owned ED long before I think it hit steam. I'm very-much trying to figure out how to configure. It should be using OSVR but I don't have any clue how to get it working. If anyone knows the process, i'd really appreciate it.
I'm in the UK. Guessing it's more efficient to send 500 units in bulk to a distribution centre rather than ship 500 individual units. So hoping we'll get them all around the same time regardless of order date
I only placed the order 2 weeks ago

Given that the Vive is collaboration between Steam and HTC, I think you will need to run ED through Steam to get VR to work. You can get a free steam key from the frontier store (or support)
I would hold off getting that Steam key if it's not something you want. I'm running my DK2 using SteamVR but I don't have a Steam key for Elite. I just downloaded the SteamVR add-on from within Steam, and it works even when using Frontier's own launcher.
Edit... forgot to say...
If you do find you need it you can always ask for it then

One less "Man decapitated by ceiling fan in living room. Strange bondage gear found on head." headline.Anyway I am prepared!!!! Had an electrician in and removed the overhead light fittings and ceiling fan and replaced them with in-ceiling down lights so there are no over obstructions.

Not that overhead will be applicable to ED, but better to make room for those HUGE Cockpits. I might want to do jumping jacks on a long journey [yesnod]
And now you've made me want to set up my HOTAS on top of my kids' bunk beds
That's actually a good idea, because I believe they have basically the same turn rates!
I'm going on the cheaper sideI bought these stands http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271762580991 and 2 of these ball-joints http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291525536319 for the light houses - just arrived and seem pretty good
All I need is the Vive now![]()
