No way? A successor to one of the most commercially successful games of the past decades?!

Fabulous!
Who wants to bet that it'll come out before Star Citizen?OMG! https://www.spidersweb.pl/2020/03/cdp-red-wiedzmin-4-witcher-4.html
CD Projekt Red, officially: we'll be making The Witcher 4 after Cyberpunk.

Oh come on, that's hardly a bet. Everything will come before SC, even the heat death of the universe.Who wants to bet that it'll come out before Star Citizen?
Wow. I'd better start playing the last one.OMG! https://www.spidersweb.pl/2020/03/cdp-red-wiedzmin-4-witcher-4.html

They have an unlimited licence for games. They bought it from Sapkowski (Although he later demanded royalties and they paid him, the deal was originally a simple purchase and to my knowledge it is still the case). As long as their games are taking place after the books, they can do what they want.Wow. I'd better start playing the last one.
I was saving it for when I'd finished Elite, and, well...
So, they have made up with the author?
Or still own the rights or something?

Damn, I would!Speculation from the article, which makes sense to me - they will come back to the original idea for The Witcher 1 game and player will be able to create their own character.
My own additions: it will be MMO or at least coop. It will be placed way before the books even, when witchers were in their best years. There will be a few witcher schools you will be able to start your adventure at. Training first then off you go into the big bad world, where monsters lurk aplenty and witchers earn good coin hunting them. Each school will have different skills to learn (like classes in other RPG's). The schools won't necessarily be friendly towards each other, therefore there will also be PVP aspect.
I think I'd play my game!![]()

It's Witcher. No mmo. Ever.I really hope it won't be an MMO
Other than that, your ideas sound great.

MMO isn't really what made the Witcher games great. And it's a completely different beast to make.
Well, there is already an Elder Scrolls MMO. And it's actually quite decent. Not made by Bethesda though. But Witcher MMO? It sounds wrong. But MMO set in that setting could be interesting.
I agree; TW3 is definitely better than PongThe Witcher 3 is the best video game I've played since I started playing video games with Pong Home in 1975. I've played through W3 so many times, with so many different alliances with all of the DLCs. Last time with a Cat School DPS Euphoria build. The writing, world building, and meaningful decisions - just spectacular. I would be thrilled to go through the tortures of Kaer Morhen under the gaze of Vesemir.
