That full on circular mesh aviary must have taken so much time and nervs to complete, my highest respect!

Thank you very much!
Yeah it was quite a fiddly work but haven't taken too much time thanks to the mud pillar technique. If you zoomed in, you would notice that the netting isn't well alligned in the top at all. This would have taken ages to make it perfectly alligned but oh well😅

Updates to the score form:
* New category added to the score sheets: "met the brief". This has felt missing the last few rounds and ensures that entries that go to extra lengths to meet the category brief get the credit they deserve. It also levels the playing field between newer and more experienced builders, allowing people to showcase their ideas and effort, even if they are still developing their building skills. This category will be on all score forms from now on (unless there are objections to this addition).
* Helpful guidance has been added to the scoring categories, giving a bit more explanation on what they mean and what to base your scoring on. I hope this helps you choose your scores :)
* Feedback request has been amended to include 'constructive' feedback as well as positive, as we can all benefit from some constructive criticism and hone our skills together! Any overly harsh or unhelpful comments will still be vetted and removed before sharing. Please don't forget to add feedback, it's really nice for players to get some comments and often means more than just numbers!

Good luck everybody and thank you for playing!

Yay, I'm glad the Zoolympics are back 😊 What a great way to keep the community of this forum engaged after the next DLC speculations are no longer a thing. Thanks Villanelle!

I would really like to join this time. And, surprisingly I'm thinking of building for the baboons first, mainly because I just started a new franchise zoo in African desert and they would fit right in. 🙂
Unless I'll find a good spot for the bear very soon in one of my existing zoos. 🤔

As for Markhor, I'm going to just add them to takins first, I hope they will have an interspecies bonus.
@Annie_konik do you still want to join? Let me know if you can submit by the end of tomorrow, then we can still add you to the score form 💚

Just got done scoring. I am not winning this thing. At least I built a great fence blueprint that I can reuse in my classic themed areas.

Just got done scoring and id find it usefull to increase the points able to earn from 5 to 10 in each category. That would give more leeway in the ratings to more acurately reflect our feelings. It also wouldnt feel as bad to give lower scores, which imo is also important as giving everyone a 3 or more feels like the nice thing to do but doesnt acurately reflect the gab in quality between different builds. Going up to 10 gives the option to better differentiate the builds in scoring, as for example i thought that mr hyraxes build was pretty good but there still was a very obvious gab between it and villanelles build just by matter of scale alone. Rating them 4 and 5 does reflect it, but imo the extra wiggle room of a 7 and 10 would reflect it better, especally when we consider the builds id rank between them, as for example hugos build is absolutly lovely and feels above mr hyraxes but below villanelles shere scale, so just being able to give it an 8 or 9 would be nice and surely help clean up any ties.

Id also think something like a "Level of Detail" category would be usefull, cause that often is what makes a good build a great one. Creativity in idears of what you do and the pure aesthetic of how good it look are ofcourse important and shouldnt be replaced, but it just feels fair imo to add a thrid category here to honor those that went beyond whats nessecary and also to point out in score when a build has good idears, when it looks decent, but just needs a bit more detailing to get from good to great.

I also find the animal welfare category to be a bit redundant, as it can be expected that all builds will either have it anyways as its very easy to do or activly refrained from it as a creative choice, for example finis build where its about a literal stray so it just muddles up the points a bit imo
