I think we still have a handle on blueprints. We've only allowed animals, custom plants and fonts and signs. These are things that people would be very unlikely to make from scratch just for the competition. I've let Mr Hyrax get away with one cheeky extra just because its xmas and because I'm a softy and 'no' isn't a common word in my vocabulary

I dont see the fault at your amazing props, its just when a can of worms like this is opend there needs to be a no at some point. The animals are imo a-okay cause they dont really add to the build itself but more to the vibes of actually something being there instead of an empty implied exhibits. Personally thats where id draw the line but wanting to use the custom plants and signs also feels fine, but when marvinb isnt suppoused to use his own car blueprint that he made, i find it cheap if other people take more prop like blueprints that other people made.
Please, I only wanna do this if it's fun and ppl dont take it too seriously. I can't please everybody, I'm trying my best.
Its all good and while i know its for fun, there should be imo a clear line to make sure that everybody knows what the rule mean. A rule that everybody interprets differently is an headache in the long run

Dear Villanelle, please know that Zoolympics are possibly my favorite event on the internet. Everything is well thought, nicely organised, even the name is just brilliant. And I love the fact that we can vote about the rule changes every time. All thanks to your excellent ideas and initiative! Thank you so much for this!
My experience so far has been super duper positive! I learnt quite a lot from my projects and I felt inspired by other members. Also, having a new theme each time brings diversity to my buildings.
I would be thrilled if we continue having Zoolympics in 2025
