They actually did it. (Huge if true)

There was an announcement a while back that the Grom crew were quitting.

Can someone confirm if this is actually real?

Coz uh, maybe someone could wake up Dingwall and he could ask Allen Stroud for a useful comment on something that's actually happening that neither cares about sufficiently to write a piece for GalNet.

After all GalNet slept through this.

That's just wrong so much work.

Some days I feel like there's like a dozen people left that have any idea what is going on.

Oh Kudos for the Dav shoutout in that livestream on the weekend.

Poor Mangal got loudly ignored. I think he's just shot from the hip all angry at question time.
Schlack was better at biting his tongue in public and sharpening it behind closed doors.
I get Mangal's frustration tho. He did a Dav level statistical analysis of bot activity when AEDC where under attack and the grunts at front desk support could barely wrap their heads around it and it never escalated to server team.

I'd love to put Mangal and Dav in a room away from corporate ears and eyes. Misaniovent and Jane and Jmanis too.
You and me can bring them all drugs periodically. Doncaster can come, but we have to sew his mouth shut.

As long as Powerplay exists, so shall I with my demented sense of humour along too.

What... Is this thread?

From what I can gather (as a layman):

Earlier this season a group of diehard players that back Yuri Grom in PowerPlay supposedly announced that they were abandoning the effort. Maybe leaving the game altogether. You could call these players Grom’s “leadership” for lack of a better term, because PowerPlay is largely driven by a very small collection of organized player groups.

The OP says that according to Inara, rumor about the Grom players leaving appears to be true. Grom has suffered miserably and lost a ton of systems recently. It could imply there is no organized effort to protect him.

If Grom is truly abandoned by his chief backers then that leaves the rival PowerPlay groups free to carve up the carcass amongst themselves.

Is this “huge?”

To the average player (like me)... no. Not at all.

To people who take PP seriously (like the OP I guess?)... probably. It means a gold rush to conquer Grom systems.

The memes though... I have no idea what any of that is about. I like the “fat sexy Grom” one though. Credit where credit is due. ;)
