First Discoveries stay with the name of the commander that finds them. There's first discoveries out there in the name of several of my deceased commander.

I was starting clash of clans years ago and it gave me zzzztxr as a random name (I never remember grabbing it), since then it has grown on me as a non name that has some fun attributes... Easy to say (doesn't matter the last letters) and I was known as zzzzzzzz for most conversations. It was fun

1st Discoveries are not changed, I have changed cmdr names which is very easy to do thanks to an awesome support team. I'd screen shotted a couple of earth like worlds I'd found and browsing the galaxy map shows my old cmdr name. William H. Bonney (my newer name) will just have to find his own discoveries I guess
