PvP This is why the incoming law enforcement buff and penalties can't come soon enough.

except that doesnt stop me from killing this sidewinder
that only saves you

that doesnt fix the problem
that just saves you
What can I say. Life is hard. You learn tough lessons and their solutions as you grow. I'm old enough to have learnt that there will always be someone to pee in the pool, so I don't swim in the public pool any more. It's sad but who's to blame. Certainly not me.

Do you not get that a game, or part of a game where you can't compete in is a very sad game indeed? Think about it..
There are many ways to influence the BGS, but if your idea of doing it over there whilst i do it over here, yet we're effectively in the same room makes sense, then... wow...

There is no crying going on here.. more bewilderment.

You simply can't handle possibly getting shot at every once in a blue moon, which quite frankly is pretty unreal.
Oh dear, so much to unpack. Where to start,

When I talk about crying, I am being a parody. People have complaints. But for some reason only other people's complaints are described as crying.

Second, there are many types of games, and not all of them are competitive. If you want competitive try Civ 6 on Deity mode. I still haven't beat that.

Lastly, get it through your skull that not everyone likes combat. If you mean by "can't handle", "won't play something I don't like" you're absolutely right. Now if you think it;'s unreal that other people like different things than you do, we're in bad shape my friend :)

That is what you should do if you want griefing "gone".

Actually, what we should do if we want the griefing gone is to eliminate players like your boys. So do Open a huge favor and quit! There will be less griefing that way! It's so simple, I am surprised you hadn't thought of it yet! But hey, it's on the house!

I see you have found a new word. :)

But there's a couple of likewise threads in the PvP section. Been rather active there myself.

edit: Oh you mean this forum is boring.

I got that all wrong. Hang on, I'll come in again.

You only noticed one new word in my vocabulary? Getting slow old chap;)

And then, ostensibly to entice you to come swim in the pee pool, he starts telling you about how he's been peeing on people who're new to swimming.

Amazing isn't it. I play quite often in open, and I can count the number of times a "PvPer" communicated with me AT ALL during an encounter on one hand, and still have fingers left over. These kinds of players don't seem to realize that if I'm their content, then I also expect them to be my content as well.

Outside of certain organized PvP tournaments, I've generally found the content provided by the average "PvPer" to be lacking. Quite frankly, NPCs are far more entertaining than they are, and that's really saying something. If NPCs provide better content than you do, especially in this game, is it any wonder not a lot of people want to play with you?

So, PVPers have to fall into your style now? To be honest, i've o7'd probably a few thousand ships in all my time playing this game, and traders and the like are pretty much mute and rarely respond..
Scared, incompetent, still not found the comms panel..?! i dunno.. but they really don't try and engage back in any way, that's for sure.

Blockade? Go solo... Known solo griefer around a station? Go solo... don't wanna talk to anyone or anything? Go solo...

Community? Lol.... it's so split due to the insane mechanics that it's on its dying legs....

Meanwhile, I just had an encounter with a griefer!

I only mention it because I have a problem with the selective moderation. On the other hand I truly think the forums here have become super frickin boring since the the rearrangement a few weeks ago, and I miss these fun little forum tug o wars. I mean, without screeching about PvP, what's left? Complaining about the LEP's?

It's all a massive conspiracy, the mods are in cahoots.

If only all carebears logged into open. They would realise they outnumber both nomads and sdc by thousands. Then they would start to bounty hunt. Then we would have a nice multiplayer game. But i guess they want to play in pg and solo in order to play the game the way they want to do. I've said this in the reddit post too. All a PvPer wants is a fight. Give it to them. Stand up to your oppressors. Start bounty hunting players.

What? People play games like they want to play them, instead of playing games like others want them to play? Absolutely shocking news!

Ah, thanks. I thought that what he wanted was EvE :)

Eve has police that gives you only a few seconds to kill the target, then teleports to you and instantly freezes and kills you. And escaping the police is an bannable exploit. If you thing EVE is the more hardcore of the two games, you are wrong :) And newbie killing is also against the game rules there.

I play this game for fun. Some PvPers are fun to play with. Some "PvPers" are not. If a PvPer is willing to meet me half way, I'm willing to return the favor. If not, I'm not going to waste my precious in-game time on them. I've been playing online games for 25 years now, some of them featuring open world PvP.

There always seems to be two general categories of people who engage in PvP. One group is fun to play with. They are interested in fun fights, have a willingness to ham it up, and tend to self nerf to keep things interesting. The other group only want to kill players as quickly as possible, are frequently insulting if they communicate at all, and cannot understand why nobody wants to play with them. Including, it appears, themselves.

I thought the new c&p in 2.4 was supposed to eliminate criminals, who would have thought galaxy wide bounty will not bother anyone who has billions. Good job fdev!
