Thoughts on adding Commodity vendors traveling the void.

An idea that would make the galaxy feel more alive.

Have vendors pop up in the void with engineered body guards. Who ask if you want any of their cargo for a slightly inflated cost.

*Be it raw/data or manufactured materials.

*commodities of varying types.

*Or Sellable data for either the Feds or Imps.

Have instanced NPC "venders" who message you or send a voiced comm call asking if you'd like to buy say 10-20 of something be it Kamitra Cigars or Lavian brandy for a little extra than market price.

You digitally pay the credit price and the vender drops the cargo and you pick it up. Simple as that.

Other CMDR thoughts on this?

At least on routes from/towards the nebula stations / Colonia, it would make sense and indicate that these places are not isolated (since I think most wouldn't be self-sufficient).
I know several megaships are on the move, most even have hackable storage. They should send messages in the system to invite impulse buyers, but it would probably be easier if they would allow docking, most don't I think.

But not a random chance to find them anywhere, that would be silly. How would they sell their wares in a random system if no Cmdr is turning up?
In Skyrim they kept on the roads as well and were not encountered on isolated ice floes (at least intentionally).

This seems to be more suited for the suggestion sub-forum.
