i have just started to map my hotas warthog and all is going well but one problem is annoying me ! when i map the stick left and right to roll left and right there is no incremental movement, it just goes from zero roll into full blast spinning on both left and right roll, the pitch forward and backwards is fine and can move either very little or very large curves and anything in between but the lack of anything but 100% roll makes dog fighting an absolute nightmare. .

Is it correctly set as an axis in the game? There is more than one option for this in the control menu and only axes are analogue.
hi, just so you know, on my side i do use the profile provided by thrustmaster on their website.
so far so good, took me around 5 minutes top to be in space shooting things

Oh so much joy using this stick 
T.A.R.G.E.T. is pretty awesome once you get used to setting it up. BUT once you start messing with the scripting, Pandora's Box surely does open up; though I'm still learning it has absolutely changed everything for me. From simple button mapping to multiple functions and changes on the fly. You can do most in the GUI too, but it really makes sense and is easier to remember fancy binds if you write them your self.
Thank you Brun (post 76 & 77), you've lit the lightbulp in my aging brain! I'll probably post my scripts once they are tried and tested.

warthog controls
hey guys, am i missing something, i have warthog with elite, im having problems controlling ship with the stick and throttle, it just wont move, am i missing something, i downloaded what i thought was the profile settings for this stick but still refuses to move, the switches work fine...

Binding question
So this looks awesome! And I've seriously been considering getting a warthog for this game. The only question I have is on the bindings. Will I have to use the T.A.R.G.E.T. software to do this or will i be able to go into the game and assign bindings from the controls menu? Thanks for the awesome bindings, post and help!

There is a Warthog binding in the ED game. During your game style you will adapt and enhance this binding with your personal preferences in the game. So I dont use Target for configuration.
I have not used TARGET for Elite, it's all set up in the game.
Another question, I know that there is a forward and reverse. How is this handled on the throttle? Is leaving the throttle in the "middle" idling and pushing it forward or pulling it back move you in those directions?
it is up to you, both can work, but i found it tricky to stay still with the warthog's throttle in fwd+reverse mode (since there is no center detent), so i used the "button toggle" mode, with the throttle doing 0-100%, and the pinky button toggling between fwd and reverse

Set your throttle to "forward only", directly beneath that you will find the option to set up the reverse button (either as "hold" or as a "toggle"). I'm using the mouse nub thingy on the throttle for reverse, makes more sense to me to have that on the throttle itself than on the stick.

Awesome, thank you everyone! The warthog seems like a good choice for a HOTAS joystick and I really want to know how to get it set up and all the best ways to do this. Thanks again also do you find it's easier to have it as a toggle or a hold for the reverse?

i was actually refering to the RED pinky button on the throttle, not the joy paddle

i got the Joystick and have a strange Problem.....i assign Target next Ship/previous Ship to several Buttons (on the Joystick and tried the Thrust too) and they are recognized in the Options but in Game i can not target anything when i press the button(s) i assigned....
