General / Off-Topic Tim "Avicii" Bergling dead at only 28

I am often sad and impressed in front of the death

But the humans (or the animals) who die young (before 40 years for the humans) cause in me a kind of incomprehension and desolation

RIP for all the young deaths

It is curious that no cause of death has been reported.

The hotel management said they know what happened, but for obvious reasons they won't release it for the press. Any cause of death is irrelevant. What is relevant is that a young person has died and the world has lost a beloved artist.

It seems that he consumed a lot of alcohol during many years

He had already been operated for the pancreas and for the gall-bladder

Precisely.
He was chasing a dream that wasn't his.

Can't rep you yet.

At only 28 years of age, Avicii has died in Omar. No crime is suspected.
As a fellow Swede myself, things like this is always heart breaking.

Check out this documentary if you're interested in him.

I had never heard of this person, but he seems to be incredibly important to human kind, considering the press coverage.

It is always sad if someone dies at such a young age. I always feel that a young death is particularly 'unnatural' and 'unfair'.

Avicii and Swedish House Mafia were two of the artists who took house music and made it mainstream, and Avicii at a very young age to do that. It was no small feat.
Many people, mostly youngsters, adored his electronic dance music and Avicii's gigs were totally sold out. Unfortunately, Tim struggled with health issues after a short time and didn't recover from his ruptured appendix.

House music went mainstream in 1988. Ever hear of the second summer of love?

RIP Avicii. So young, yet understandable a guy making money in his twenties and touring all the time. It takes discipline to abstain from partying when you are surrounded by ravers day in day out. People offering you drinks and magic sugar all the time. Sad day for rave music and EDM.

It isnt uncommon to 28-year old to have an heart attack/brain hemorrhage/etc.
But, i wouldnt rule out possible suicide either.. depression is a (the word we cant write here) and those who has it, most likely other people have no clue. :(

What ever his COD is, hes gone and he left great music behind him for us to enjoy and memorize him.

According to his family, it seems like a suicide

He was in burn out and also ravaged in his health

He wanted the peace, his family wrote

Yes I heard it on the Swedish national radio that the family implied suicide. And since the Oman police ruled out crime, it may very well be a suicide indeed.
Tragic.
Mental health is rarely talked about, and mental health doesn't care who you are; anyone could be a victim.

I was reading about how he felt pressured to perform all the time and it just got too much for him, he did something like 320 tour dates in a year, his management were completely intolerant of the difficulities it was causing him. Really sad.

Add to that the constant partying and the probable usage of MDMA and Cocaine, followed by benzodiazepines, many times a week. You soon start to think differently. I had a huge problem with speed back in the early 90's. I wasn't addicted but it was cheap and everywhere. You get paranoid fast on it. Poor bloke eh?

And as often the direction has pressed the fruit until there is no more juice

Disgusting, as usual

And also, I read that he was taking 20 pills of medicine each day, as a result of his surgical operations of the pancreas, gall bladder and appendix

Without taking away from the loss of a life and one so young, (I was just talking to the wife on the bus this morning about how Swedes tend to live long lives, she is swedish, we live in Sundsvall).

I take it here you mean he made house music mainstream in Sweden. Im 48 and was dancing to house music when I was 18.
