Time to click on Outfitting, just to check.....NOOO Cancel LAUNCH!!

That happens but no, I do not want confirmation dialog, it would grow tedious fast.
This actually could be quite handy if it was a configurable option. 2 reasons:

1.
Every now and again VoiceAttack throws a wobbler...usually when docked.
Room is silent, apart from the slight whir of old pc fan bearings (being replaced when Overclockers get my order shipped after 6 weeks!!!)
Then within 1 second VA does:

BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Something something dark side")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Mouse")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Mouse")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Something something mouse")
BLEEP BLOP. Command not recognised. ("Lets go out")
BLEEP BLOP. Command recognised. ("LAUNCH")

At best this is very annoying as it will launch you while you doing other things...at worst you're AFK and the station makes your ship pop after you fail to move away from the pad (thankfully this hasn't happened but I was 5 seconds away from being toast a month or so ago)

The only way to "fix" this is to close and restart VoiceAttack. I can't find anything on the web that explains why VA is having a meltdown :(

2.
Navigating menus almost becomes muscle memory after a while. Every now and again when I dock I go 1 hat switch down to "Station Services" and click, but ED does a double down so when you click you're on "Launch"...when I clearly didn't click down twice.

Anyways, having a confirm launch option would be very handy.

Any other commander(s) brave enough to acknowledge doing this?

Yes
It happens alot. Ok, not alot, but often enough.
On PC is no biggie, exit to menu and restart is fast enough. On XB this is not as fast, still is way faster than docking back again :)

Oh, I've done it myself. All that it would take to "fix" it for me would be to have an option when you are still on the pad and the countdown has started that says "cancel launch."

That being said, it's really not that big of an issue, and the re-log method fixes it right quick, so I'm OK. Just a minor QoL thing.

It's no big problem. Just logout immediately and log back in again, and you'll be sitting back on the pad.
I didn’t know that worked. Cool. If this is the slippery slope that leads to Combat logging then combat loggging here I come!!!

All it really needs is a cancel launch dialogue open and selected that you can activate and once you do that you will be brought to the surface and back to the station dialogue. Of course as soon as you leave the platform you are in flight and have to get out and back in again. That's the rules.
Yes. I like it but if I accidentally clicked cancel launch when I wanted to launch?

You know how you have to thrust up to leave a planet? I think that should just be the norm. It's not an extra button or menu. Thrust up and wait. Stop and you're still docked.

I'm not sure how it would impact someone using the docking computer to undock. Let them use an extra menu if needed
&&
It's funny - they could fix it by making you hold the launch button for a second or two.
Holy Braben’s Testicles, I do believe you’ve got it!
I would have settled with the “cancel launch” suggestion but holding down the launch button hold like 2 seconds.....by golly gosh!!!

If that will stop me from prematurely launching all over the starports docking interior, until my wife, I mean crewmate is ready to come to the flight deck for take off with me, then yes...YES...YES, oh yes, authorise, confirm...Agreed up on confirmation approved, I biometric dna sample of bodily fluid delivered accepted and identify confirmed and sleeep.

and to all the other commanders I love you for your graceful honesty and humour - this did brighten up my day :)

I just wish the menu wouldn't move your cursor back to the top without your input when it does that little reset after landing. Sometimes I don't want that fuel. Especially not when playing around with a racer that needs to maintain a partially empty tank for weight.
