Tip offs......are they worth it?

I like the Tip offs. I don't care about the reward one's gonna get.
What is it in todays society that everything must be rewarded with a god-mode-button at best.
What does it matter if you get 1m, 10M or 100B of credits? These are only meaningless digits after all.

These Tip offs, for me, are a nice break from the daily "grind" (no I DON'T grind by purpose) for my faction in bgs.
These Tip offs, are fitting quite well into my trailblaze of the daily life of Eliza.

Here you got my 2 Credits as a REWARD for you to spend.

Nope, they don't, for some ridiculous reason. You're lucky to get over 100k for most. There's a lot that could be done with tipoffs, that aren't, though...

Well I'm not sure about that given that from some crashed ships the data core can be worth up to 300k for a scan, add in the local cargo canisters that are scattere around with said ships fairly regularly, they more than likeley can pay close to a mil a time, provided youre lucky and dont get a poopy one anyways.

Sure, they're neat, once.

That tipoff I linked in my previous post? About the 10th time I've had that one to HIP 12314. Kinda loses the intrigue to do the same "mystery" over and over and over.

Oh really...didn't experienced this glitch. In That case it would annoy me as well. nevertheless I only got those Tip offs maybe once in 3 months.

Oh, it's no glitch.

Here's another I've got right now:
150889

It's just, I've seen them before. Play the game long enough, and you'll see them cycle. It's not unusual for me to finish with three tipoffs in my inbox at the end of a session supporting my faction.

I don't care about the credits... I wish Tip Offs actually got used to seed exploration rumours, or potentially lead you to new discoveries or things rather than the same old POIs. A bit of dynamism would be great. But if they're not going to be dynamic like that, the reward could at least be worth it.

Oh THIS one I recognize. You might be right. FDev has to do something about it. (doubt it). Another rudimentary implementation of content as it seems.:(

RNG storytelling?
Storytelling? Probably yes, as there is something in common in the messages-members of the same group (small/rare ones).
Random? Not really. There are not so many "RNGsus" appearances in Tip Off missions as one can suspect:
1) Mission assignment. Not quite sure, however some conditions must be met (certain number/score of missions for a faction) + geocheck for location (from a set of active ones) - once again according to some "rules" - and those already received by commander.
2) Site location, type and visual appearance (wreckage type, presence, number and quality of defensive appliances, quantity and classes of commodities, material types/grade limits) particular message for a given localization, activity timetable (for crash sites) - all that is nailed by formulas, site design model and Star Forge engine and doesn't change without external interference.
3) The only area for RNG are particular set of commodities (from a given defined classes and fixed quantity), materials (once again from defined type(s) and range of grades), amount of credits (in a certain predefined range, I assume)
Oh, and another not so "funny" fact I completely forgot:
According to my - yes, quite approximate - estimations even a very dedicated commander who knows in advance all TO site locations and their activity timetable (even unknown to community up to present date) will be most probably incapable to gather a full set of Tip Off end messages in one chosen game client localization.

And, btw, that is already 4th report about Tip Off mission to that location during this tick. Dynamism? They are nailed in the same manner as the space/planetary ports are. At least they are "blinking" (time dependency)
Unguarded site with three cargo racks (manufactured mats, grades 1-4) and 3 low level food/drugs commodities, message log from the most common group. Will be active up to the end of the next tick, then will reappear exactly 10 ticks later....
sidenote - so far raw materials from crash sites are linked to crash site models, not the materials available on a given planet.
