I noticed that last night. An interesting change.
I swear that I had at least one Titan Drive Component stored on my carrier too, but it seems to have disappeared.
It will have disappeared from the commodity trading list, but you should still find it available to transfer in inventory.
Seems like commodity categories got an overhaul. Now rares are tradeable on carriers which happened in the same patch. Seems like some Thargoid stuff was overlooked in the process.
Nope, it wasn't there when I checked. My memory could be failing me, but I'm not ruling out some kind of game-related hiccup either.

TDC are still dropping, I picked up 9 last week to upgrade all my class 5 drives. It took a while but they do drop (I was in Sol).
Just fly around the gas cloud and they pop up every 30mins or so.
Not saying you shouldn't trade with players who are selling them, but it's not your only option.

Another commander tried to give me a TDC just now, I scooped it up and flew off to a tech broker, only to find I don't have it! Is there an issue with handing these over manually? I can't see anything in the log about it, but I scooped it carefully, got a message, and it disappeared.

Just to be sure: you have corrosion resistant cargo racks and the drive component didn't just rust itself through your cargo hatch?
I just assumed that they did it on purpose.
Doubt that, if U take a careful look at TDC in your cargo hold, U will see that it has changed its value since the Trailblazers patch landed.
From one arbitrary number to another, that doesn't look like a manual change, more likely a change of some odd multiplier, who knows where, deep inside the commodities system and then it probably cascaded from there.
All these offers just from FC owners who haven't logged in for quite a while now.

Have they fixed the glitch where it doesn't appear on the market?
No. I wanted to give one to my alt instead of dealing with the RNG nonsense after wasting an hour without finding a drive component, it still wasn't in the market list from what I saw.
